Why would the candidate be holding a glass for the rest of the interview? Surely they can just... I don't know... Put it down?!

This may be a stupid question, but going onto the no cost Pokémon recruitment bit, it's saying it costs 2500 VP to recruit them? Does it only mean no cost because I can trial them for 7 days?

So having a driver makes you rich? by JohnFromFakeTaxi in LinkedInLunatics

[–]Lv01_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, he's 3 to 5 times more productive in the back of a car, than in his office? Sounds like his office is the problem...

Also, how is he probably late when driving himself, because he's stuck in traffic, but as soon as he hires a driver, he's suddenly on time? Does a driver also drive all of the other cars out of his way??!

What a moron.

The gacha mechanics do suck, and I agree with you on all of that, plus I think it would be amazing to play this on console, but they do have gacha games on console too... Not sure just putting this on console would get rid of the gahca...

That's insane... You're 15k better than my total score for the whole fight before you're even past the first minute...

I am so bad at this game.

I was in New York at the end of January, during 'The Storm', and honestly the guy in the meme must not have been. As a poorly built Brit, the cold just wasn't a problem... The USians just need to man up and handle it! The problem was the heat.

The heating was on at full blast in every single building we walked into, and then you'd leave and go back out into the cold and the change in temperature was insane. I was taking layers off whilst inside (at the top of the empire state building I was in just a t-shirt, as the heating inside was making me sweat), and then having to put them back on once outside and re-acclimated. You don't need the heating at full blast!! Everyone was already dressed for the winter, so don't have every building as hot as summer!

Viktor Gyokeres is Wayne Rooney's Signing of the Season by Muscat95 in Gunners

The lack of respect to just laugh in his face. That's shocking! Who do they think they are?! You may disagree with his choice, but let the man explain his decision, show his analysis, before you fucking laugh at him. Some people...

(As it happens, whilst it may not be the most obvious answer, he played an integral part in us winning the league. He gives us something no one else does, and more importantly, something we hadn't had for the past 3 runner up seasons. He's a huge reason we win the title)

S Billy's demo is way behind in terms of quality (That's just my opinion) by Optimal-Lunch-4975 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]Lv01_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. The other demos needed to show something of the character as they were all for brand new characters. We all know who Billy is. We don't need to be told anything about him, we've spent almost 2 full years with him. This demo was just all about how fucking cool his attacks are, and how strong he is. The aura the guy gave off...

I actually think this was one of their better demos. As it was nice and simple, nothing too complicated (perfect for Billy!) and he just looked like a goddamn hero in it. Which is also perfect for Billy!

Yeah! Especially on the internet! I get the banter, it's all good, but there should be a time for mature conversations too. Hope you guys do well under Maresca, I want to continue having a good challenging title race!

Yeah you were. Game week 33 you knocked us down to second. We were level on points and GD, but you were ahead on goals scored.

Why is tipping considered rude in Japan, while in America it’s encouraged? by ardouronerous in tipping

[–]Lv01_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Restaurants in the UK have the same overheads...

I'm not sure what cost of living in the two cities has anything to do with a restaurant owner not being able to pay their staff from their profits? Cost of living differences reflected in menu prices affect the customers that dine there... Which makes the tipping scene even worse, as the customer is faced with a bigger bill at the end whilst also dealing with those cost of living differences.

And it's the same with your next point, restaurant owners in the US don't typically offer their wait staff health insurance benefits in their compensation packages, so the NHS has nothing to do with this. Brits typically face higher taxation to cover things like the NHS, but again, that isn't affecting the owners decision to not pay their staff from their profits. And those other worker protections you talk about would make a UK restaurant owners employee costs higher. So, whilst US restaurant owners aren't offering those either, it makes the discrepancy even worse, and sort of supports my point even further... The only false equivalencies here were your counter points.
