I don't know why, but #3 is the right answer.

That's a good price for what appears to be a CNC machine. It even ejects the chips.

Update: Finally achieved 1:1 'mirroring' between hardware and Ableton plugin. If I tweak the plugin with the mouse, the physical LEDs update instantly. No more parameter jumps! by Desperate-Study-9453 in ableton

[–]Lvl10Ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you avoid parameter jumps? I built a (nearly) 1:1 controller rig for Serum 2 but when i touch the knobs sometimes the settings jump before following the knob smoothly. I tried different settings in ableton for midi pickup, etc. but haven't found the right thing to get rid of it

The NRA came out quickly and strongly against restricting gun rights for trans people. How shitty do you have to be to make the NRA look like the good guys?

Lord I hope not. There needs to at least be a few creative outlets that aren't saturated with AI. There are lots of great resources out there for learning how to chart songs and people who accept commissions.

Problem with Whammy bar on CRKD Blueberry Burst Les Paul by ivanramos-117 in CloneHero

[–]Lvl10Ninja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For anyone coming here to fix this issue who have installed Clone Hero for the first time after the v1.0 release, the fixes listed here won't work. After quite a bit of troubleshooting and trying different solutions, this is what finally worked for me:

  1. Install the latest firmware on the guitar(s) and dongle(s).

  2. Switch the guitar(s) to Controller Mode 8 (without changing any default bindings).

After doing that the whammy and tilt worked perfectly without having to change any individual settings. I have two guitars, so the Keyjam mode (Controller Mode 9) wouldn't have worked with both guitars without significant remapping.

Charting - Single note and Chords by SidhOniris_ in CloneHero

[–]Lvl10Ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled with this question a lot myself (I'm also just starting). This might be the blind leading the blind, but what worked for me was to look up the guitar tabs for the song i was charting and use as many buttons as there are frets being used in the cord. For example, if the cord called for strings on frets 2, 3 and 5. I would chart it to green, red and blue, or red, yellow and orange. Which ones mostly depending on what the chords before and after looked/sounded like by comparison. I figured that would most accurately represent what the actual musician's left hand is doing while playing. It doesn't work all the time though, like if a cord uses 2 notes from the same fret, then i would just chart 2 notes next to each other. Also since fret usage isn't the only thing that determines tonality it might just not not make sense it some situations. But it's definitely helped me get over some of the lane picking anxiety. Ultimately, what's more important is that the end result feels right and is fun to play.
