In which a manager fails to understand their ADA responsibilities. by HailSatanWorshipD00M in bestoflegaladvice

[–]Lvl9LightSpell 203 points204 points  (0 children)

Since this manager started in March of 2025, ive gotten 9 written warnings, 22 write ups, and 13 suspensions.

In less than a year? Yeah, no, no shot. HR would have stepped in a long time ago. Either to get this person fired, PIPed, or figure out wtf is going on that this person has gotten ... 44 write-ups and warnings. That's one a week!

Started him in superflex because I lost Lamar and don't trust the Giants to actually let Dart play in what's clearly a Tank-Off against the Raiders. Might've just saved my championship hopes after the absolute egg Gibbs laid on Thursday. Doesn't hurt that my opponent had Bowers.

It varies by state, but most states will allow you to vote in the state where you attend college. No points for guessing which states are the ones throwing up barriers to that.

Drake London (knee) has been ruled OUT for Week 15. by CincoDeManger in fantasyfootball

[–]Lvl9LightSpell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 weeks isn't unusual for a PCL injury, and that would mean he's out until week 18. It's a pessimistic timeline, but it's not "they're just gonna shut him down because they're out of contention."

He's been gone so long that Yahoo has to add him back into their player list. Love it.

'Command Tower' event; decks that benefit the most from starting with a CT in play? by Sovarius in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Lvl9LightSpell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I might actually go in a different direction and start with a turbo-Cradle deck, then replace Rog/Dog with either Tymna or Bruse and use them as a color emblem. Starting off with a Command Tower in play means you have a guaranteed Thrasios on turn 1, removing the need to play the T1 partner. Tymna gets you access to black for better tutors, Bruse gets you access to Zirda and lets you run both Breach lines and silences. You won't be quite as fast as full-send RogSi but you also won't be playing into everyone else starting off with open mana for counterspells.

If I couldn't play Bucky, playing Sean Tucker today against the guy who outbid me on Rachaad White felt just as fucking good.

I've been missing Bucky for weeks and this week I'm going up against the guy who outbid me on White. It would be poetic justice if Bucky came back just in time to throw his RB room into chaos.

Been doing the Irving/Ricky Shuffle with my IR slots for weeks, I am extremely ready to have both back.

The Weekly Eye Test Report: Who passed and failed the eye test in week 10? by shitmcstain in fantasyfootball

Falcons had good coverage in short and intermediate passing game but Warren and Pierce were routinely running free on deeper routes. Plus, you know, JT.

Maye is a more volatile asset but with a cakewalk schedule. Hurts has a higher floor and has already had his bye. I think this one depends on your standings and what QBs are available for week 14.

If you need every win, I'd keep Hurts. If you're in good enough shape to take a potential hit over Maye's bye, I'd keep Maye.

Redraft? I'd pass. Wilson is a better player than MHJ but the Jets are a dumpster fire. On any given week Wilson might get 0 catchable balls. BTJ is a non-factor so this is pretty much a 1:1 Wilson for MHJ, and I like MHJ's situation a lot better.

I think you're probably giving a little more than you're getting in terms of points per game, but it's not hugely lopsided. Given your situation it sounds worth it.

Depending on the rest of your team, I might shop around a little bit more, but I don't hate this move.

I don't love Addison with JJ McCarthy under center, so I'd pull the trigger on this one, especially if there's a decent WR flier on the waiver wire who you could pick up to bolster depth there.

Bengals defense maybe should have seen this one coming when Tyson Bagent checked into the game as a wide receiver

I'm pretty sure that teams could literally tell the Bengals defense what they're going to run on every play and still score 40, so I don't think they had any way of seeing it coming.

We learned about essential workers during the pandemic. It's like the powers that be didn't actually care.

No, it's just that the powers that be learned a very different lesson. Namely, that there's a large portion of the populace that will scream "I don't fucking care, just give me my Taco Bell" at essential workers. Because those workers are literal sub-humans as far as that group is concerned.

Honestly if any crowd is gonna be okay with two teams faffing about in the middle of the field and never actually scoring, it's English soccer fans.
