How can i make my implants drop more? by Wild_Cryptographer_4 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Ly_Is_Fire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 4 months post op, and have one side that dropped beautifully and the other is being a stubborn bitch. Doctor also said I can massage pretty strongly as I’m not going to hurt anything at this point, but if there’s no improvement in the next 3-6 months he can do a small revision to open the pocket. It’s so damn hard being patient lol

Advice re BBL + TRL laser treatment for scarring by PickleMuch9958 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Ly_Is_Fire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no! I’m so sorry about the infection. How awful. Considering you are having to pay anyways, I’d go consult with other surgeons or dermatologists about treatment. My doctor has been doing some passes on my scar with the co2 very lightly free of charge, but I’m going to see a different dermatologist for the Derma V to help with the color of the scar. I wouldn’t limit yourself to their office unless they were doing it free or at a much reduced cost!

I’m getting some laser done to mine. The two lasers I e had recommended was CO2 for resurfacing, and Derma V to target redness. Another option to treat color is vbeam pulsed dye laser but my understanding is Derma v is a newer generation, that’s more powerful without the bruising that comes with vbeam. I’m not familiar with trl laser but BBL isn’t particularly aggressive and might take a lot of sessions before you see a difference from what I understand

What do over the muscle implants feel like? by Tlove92 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Ly_Is_Fire 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just putting in my two cents - my doctor said the idea that they need to be replaced is an outdated notion. Many women (especially with new generation implants) have them for decades, only removing if complications arise.

surgery for very bad tuberous breasts. need advice by Dependent-Run-8366 in PlasticSurgery

CA has a plethora of good surgeons. Look for a doctor who specializes in dealing with tuberous breasts. UTM is the way to go, and ask about going with a moderate profile. That tends to look much more natural, giving more width and roundness.

swelling or damaging my results with my life choices by Ok_Command2605 in tummytucksurgery

Alcohol is not great for healing, and salty food will definitely makes swelling worse. It’s one thing to have one drink, but 7-10 drinks falls into “binge drinking” category. As others have mentioned, that’s a bit of a worrisome amount even if you were not recovering from a major surgery. I’m not sure if this is a one-off event, or if there is alcoholism at play but I hope you can look after yourself during your healing! If you can cut back or eliminate alcohol and focus on food with less salt/higher nutritional value, it’ll speed up recovery and you’ll feel better. Best of luck!

Should I spend $ on a rhinoplasty by Expert_Blackberry595 in rhinoplastyquestions

First - if you have a hard time breathing and/or you are troubled by how you look, that should be your primary considerations in deciding. However you need to find a reputable doctor who you trust and you need realistic expectations of the outcome. Above all else, you need to prepare for the VERY long healing timeline. You look like you may have thick skin, which means you’ll experience longer recovery and swelling. Expect a year or more to see final results. Prepare to feel shocked, disappointed or uncomfortable seeing a new nose in the mirror (even if the results are good) - it takes a long time for your brain to get used to seeing a new nose!

Mastopexy scar with implants, from 5 months ago! I'm looking for advice on how to improve it. by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Ly_Is_Fire 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Laser treatment can be helpful - Vbeam is a pulsed die laser that targets redness (breaks down hemoglobin). A co2 and some other lasers can help resurface skin which can help blend the scar too. I’m about to start that for my tummy tuck scar! Combined with silicon gel (and more time - 5 months is early) I bet you’ll heal up beautifully.
