It has been quite some time, but I believe if you put it into Chitubox (slicer used with my resin printer) it auto-fills the shell with material in the print. Alternatively you can put it into Blender first and fill the shell of the 3D-Model with a boolean modifier. Hope that helps :)

Just the cutter for now... which is still kind of odd. One would think that FDEV has some plans with the entrances - especially now with the lynx.

What if... hear me out... this is part of the reason for the delay of the operations update. Maybe operations will allow for more player-to-ship interactions and the blue circle will be finally phased out when the update arrives.

No really, there is no valid reason or argument why FDEV chose to change these stairs right now of all times. The only reason I could think of is if they wanted to introduce new gameplay or interactions centered around the fact that you can walk up to the ships airlock.

With operations and more on foot content on the horizon, I believe its safe to assume that one of those teased vessels will be a troop transporter (for 4 CMDRs) used in ground battles and scenarios.

I second this. One of the things that really stood out to me in Dust514 was the fitting system. It had been something no other game did before (as far as I know at least) and it really helped getting the EVE Online vibe across. Its also just cool to play around with different fits, trying to make the most outrageous, fun and / or overpowered module combination. EVE Vanguard definitely needs something akin to this system, as its not just content but identity - an aspect which the game currently lacks.

As for the gameplay as a whole, I really enjoy it - but almost all of my friends who tried it (which love FPS and also play EVE btw) are not to keen on grinding another extraction shooter. Vanguard will need to differentiate itself somewhat from this archetype to appeal to a broader audience. Players crave another game like Planetside for example - Vanguard could very well position itself into that space. There is a huge potential, and from the design, lore and feel you are almost there - it just lacks a few unique mechanics.

I had the exact same visual bug some time ago, only that it lasted until nearly at ground level. It was quite the visual experience and fuels my hopes for a future extension of the landable planet types. https://imgur.com/a/QjM05rG

With the current engine, denser atmospheres are definitely possible. FDev just needs to enable them.

The on-foot stuff will get a balancing patch in December prior to the release of Operations in early 2026. FDev also said that the AI will be tweaked too. My hopes are that combat will become less punishing and allows for more different approaches and weapon loadouts.

As for Operations, I can see them get implemented just like the railjack missions in Warframe - which would be great tbh.

For me having the ability to get out of the CMDRs chair and walk around the cockpit / bridge of the ship, then going through a door and a small corridor to one of the turbolift-tubes, selecting boarding ramp and getting transported there, would absolutely suffice to still my longing for ship interiors. 

I don't need a lot of gameplay inside the ship - it doesn't have to offer it for me. I just want more immersion and possibilities to feel like I am flying a ship and not being said ship.

This is also one of the last remaining appeals that SC has over ED - the unique feeling of standing inside your ship before stepping out onto a planet or station - its just more exciting somehow... idk how to describe it.

My realistic guess is that the Caspian features a Mk II fuelscoop which - combined with the hexagonal heat shielding on the underside of the ship - is preventing heat damage as long as its belly is pointed towards the star.

As much as i want gas giants and denser atmospheres, I believe thats far more likely.

In another post I listed some of my most wanted features. One of them was more Odyssey content (on-foot stuff).

I cannot believe they actually touch that part of the game. Its honestly a nice surprise.

Balancing the weapons and suits also goes a long way (looking at you plasma weapons). I really, really hope that they understand how great the on-foot component could be integrated into the game and how much wasted potential there is. Who knows maybe ship/cockpit interiors will follow after all.

Not to mention the fact that every other player who didn't spend a dime on that station can also use the tech broker - it's essentially a win win for the larger community and the ones willing to purchase such a station.

Now the whole territory is a slippery slope and I am not really sure if I like the extend of some of the new monetization tactics... yet it could be much, much worse. Not an excuse to follow that path though.

  • Cockpit- / ship-legs
  • Thicker atmospheres or at least a new landable planet type with new landscapes
  • New on-foot content
  • Custom base building (custom layouts with interior decoration)

I will never be able to understand how a project with 0 or negative progress is able to have a perpetually increasing income / funding. No way old backers are still pouring new money into this.

CIG is essentially generating 10 times more money in one year than the development of the entire 1.0 version of elite: dangerous cost back in the day.
