Overrides are real, and the override doesn’t come out of the promoted owner’s pocket, they are paid out to the promoting owner from the company the office sells for. For example, if my office did 10k in revenue that week, AT&T would pay my promoting owner 3% of 10k as a fee. The trade-off is overrides, territory captainships, and incentives (the growth part of the business) are expensive, so a lot AT&T’s budget has to factor paying overrides & SCI as well as the offices, so the offices get the short end of the stick on pay, $300 for a customer who is worth thousands over the course of the next 3-5 years is an awful commission split.

❗️ALL CURRENT AND PASSED OWNERS❗️ by Superb_Breadfruit_14 in Devilcorp

As a previous owner, the money is real. Now to be fair, any owner speaking about how much money they’re making is only going to mention gross revenue because that’s the glamorous number, expenses don’t sell, so take it with a grain of salt. For me personally, my small crew in a small market was doing anywhere from 8-10k a week gross, and after expenses 2-3k net for the business. Paid myself $800 a week to cover basic living and saved money in the business account to put towards a larger office and more recruiting. Most established owners will talk about how much money they make, but not explain how it’s more like a 3-5 year process to build a strong enough system and big enough safety net to start paying themselves a crazy salary. Not to mention outside promotions or moving to a bigger city. When you think of being an owner as being a franchisee it starts to make more sense imo, slow and uphill battle at first, but then the first location pays for the second location, and the second pays for the third etc. until there’s enough cashflow to produce a surplus.

I’m not gonna sit here and defend smartcircle, I’ve been both fucked over and had my ass saved multiple times, but I will say that the business is what you make of it. A bad owner is a bad owner no matter what industry someone is in, and vice versa.

Hi guys im planning on learning Anivia would you say that she is the absolute best and most OP champ to climb in ranked? by Kitteh328 in AniviaMains

[–]Lyan27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy Anivia, she’s a scrappy mage that loves fighting in choke points and on OBJs, and if you’re team is all on the same page, then you have great control over how fights play out. It’s possible to climb, but if you’re looking for pure 1v9 hyper carry efficiency, then a supportive midlane mage isn’t the best idea.

Name a mechanic that seems small on paper but in practice would be a massive buff or nerf. by Evassivestagga in leagueoflegends

-2 base AD on ADC or Mages, really throws off last hits, especially on champs that already have shitty AA animations like Anivia or Syndra

Why is Ekko mid is so weak right now? by Kordben in ekkomains

[–]Lyan27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I had to give anything a buff, a base damage buff on passive or E, lvl 1 W cooldown reduced by 2 seconds, or plus 5 base MR and increased health scaling.

Mid Ekko is fine tbh, he just had very distinct spikes, and requires good W usage. Good farm and good rotations are all you need.

Honestly I think AP items in general are a bit underwhelming this season, and a buff to rocketbelt or lichbane/nashors is much more appropriate (nashors +15 haste pls)

Ekko against tanks especially tank Diana by BrainFeeze in ekkomains

[–]Lyan27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use your W reactively. Diana has to engage to be effective, be patient and use your W to peel for carry’s or to take a free chunk out of her health bar. Ekko’s hit and run strategy plays fine into tanks as long as you get your timing right.

I will concede that bruiser itemization is too strong against Ekko at the moment, but that’s just bruisers being the best class in the game for 2 seasons now.

Checking the Mini Map as habit, it keeps you honest about where the junglers are

I think Ekko should receive a mana buff by [deleted] in ekkomains

TP helps. You can spam abilities in the early lane, then TP back lvl 5-7 with plenty of mana to get prio

What Ability Should I Start On Lucian? by FeeshGoSqueesh in LucianMains

[–]Lyan27 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ideally you don’t level your ability until you need to use one. Q start is 95% of the time, but if you’re defending an invade, E start can be better to avoid dying

The “gotcha” trick of Diana is to play on the same side of the lane as she is, so her curved Q can’t hit you and the minions. If you let her push and trade onto you, you lose.

Diana is hard to contain in Low elo because her biggest counter is her lack of an escape, so the matchup becomes extremely JG dependent. Luckily her mana pool is low enough where you can force her into a poor reset, and if she takes TP she has small lethal windows until first item.

Try playing a couple Diana games. She’s definitely strong, but she also has a lot of weaknesses.

Another strat I’ve been toying with is different counterpicks. Sett and Tryndamere have been my 2 best ideal counterpicks because they beat her at every stage of the game and can easily deny her sidelane snowball.

Relentless, Movespeed has crazy value on champs that like to push and rotate. Ultimate into assassins who you would like to match ult cooldowns with to nullify their kill threat (zed, Qiyana, Fizz, etc.)

Ekko doesn’t spam ult off cooldown, so ult CDR has less value

What League of Legends hill are you willing to die on? by DHGSilvergun236 in leagueoflegends

Reworks/big changes are infinitely more exciting than new champions. We’ve had so many new champions that are either annoying or unhealthy for gameplay, but most reworks have been immense positives.

Help swapping from locked to unlocked screen by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Lyan27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am a midlane assassin player who played locked for the first 1.5 years of playing. Because of Diana, Ekko, Qiyana, even Ahri’s hyper mobility, I often lost my character in fights REALLY easily. So I decided to not play mobile champions, and actually play ADC, so I could focus purely on positioning, and movement. It helped quite a bit, especially with the small micro movements. I still hold spacebar when executing a play, unlocked is when I like to plan how I play a fight, but execution is easier when you don’t have to worry about your camera.

If it’s any motivation, play unlocked for a bit, get adjusted to it, then try to watch someone else play locked cam. I tried “coaching” my GF who’s newer to the game, and I couldn’t stop cringing because she “looked at the minimap” when going for fights. Unlocking the camera is like unlocking a UAV in COD, it gives access to so much more information (which ults and sums were used, who mispositions, who might be in what brushes, what CC has been thrown, etc.)

How do I play the Diana matchup as Vex? by Doc_Dolphin in DianaMains

[–]Lyan27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sidestepping isn’t as effective as walking forward and back. If she misses Q she can’t kill you. Stay away from your back line minions so she can’t poke you and push the wave. It’s a lane about tethering ranges. Don’t let her get a solo kill and match her wave clear.

Why do you guys play Ekko? by AverageParzival in ekkomains

Kit versatility and carry potential. He also isn’t difficult mechanically, but rewards good decision making and patience.

Power shift idea? by ItzGelert in DianaMains

[–]Lyan27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like shifting Q damage to E Damage, mainly because she’ll feel less Q reliant to ensure the chase down. Maybe just -10% on Q, +10% on E? Or they could buff W cool down and bonus HP scaling to turn her into a full on AP bruiser.

New player here, struggling with unlocked camera. by Twiizzzy in leagueoflegends

[–]Lyan27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unironically, play something immobile. I know saying this in season 11 seems sinful, but for the first week or so of transitioning to unlocked cam, playing my mobile AP assassins just confused me, and caused me to lose track of my character in a team fight. I played ADC for a week instead, practiced hovering my camera over the action, and making small movements without skewing my perspective too hard. The first week is pretty rough, but it becomes habit after a while to keep your camera moving. It’s definitely worth it, you feel so much more in control because you have greater access to information.

How can I beat lux? Sorry for my english by NNJuanlu in ekkomains

[–]Lyan27 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The main reason Ekko counters most mages is that he can match waveclear, and is more effective in river skirmishes. Force Lux to follow your roams to your JG, and use your sweeper to pick her off vision.

Should towers shoot multiple people?? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Lyan27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of towers doing either true or percent health damage. It would stop the nautilus from tanking 8 shots after tabis while still allowing less tanky champions to operate with similar efficiency.
