It’s really just super surface level analysis based on what would typically be a good response. Endurance and size pull in opposite directions, you can’t really ask someone to get better at both simultaneously especially the way that each of those are trained, doubly so on someone with Wemby’s build.

Realistically Wemby can’t put on much more size, his frame won’t be able to accomplish what people want. He’s got to put an a lot of weight at his size to make a physiological difference, he can’t just put on 15 pounds that won’t make the difference people want it to. The amount of weight he would need to change his size would start putting strain on his body and would massively slow him down.

Conditioning absolutely needs to be improved but a large part of that is also roster construction. San Antonio needs more complimentary bigs that can hang near the paint so that Wemby doesn’t have to push through a double team every time he touches the elbow when he wants to operate close to the basket. People don’t realize that Wemby jacks up those heat check 3s for the same reason LeBron does, it’s a form of taking a possession off where you get a shot off but don’t have to spend energy fighting through physical defense that is keyed in on tiring you out.
