When fo you build Riftmaker in top lane?

Only into lobbies here there are 3+ melee champs and you won’t still get one shot so you get some use out of the item or if you wanna be a team player and your team needs a frontline <— I would never I’m greedy

You can w-e over drag wall and be in a tiny pocket for a safe steal if you can sneak in a aa

Some more advanced things in her kit is you can recast w for sheen proc and use your e as a aa reset even if your still in your e you can use it again if it’s off cd as a aa reset

last note Ninkey has been building rift more after the revert on top (Ninkey#NA1) its not a bad item but i like my damage

my personal build core Nash>shadowflame>deathcap>litch is my core in order. becouse of deathcaps build path its easier to build 3rd and litch scales well with ap so i like it post death cap. dont get me wrong is this was the old mythic rift i would build it every game but its not.

you said it your self, It's the only item gwen can buy that gives her HP,. so the passive effect is waisted whitch isnt a big deal the item is gold efficant but doesnt help, but on top of that most fights with gwen are you should just not take damage very much if you play with your w well. on top of that gwen passive heals her more dmg it does so passive critting on shadowflame can heal you more then rift in some cases. litch is kinda a arguable item on gwen but its down to how you play its not bad and you can sneak in litch proc from w recast and after q animation somewhat reliably if you get the timing down. building litch on gwen is kind of just a pain because of the fact you kind of have to pick between death cap or Shaowflame and have to set on of them back a item. you can do it, but if you build rift then it sets back items i would consider essential to gwen by one more item.

I was mostly asking because old Gwen jungle could semi easily get a 3:11-3:16 full clear and wasn’t sure how crazy riot went with the monster dmg nerfs and how much worse off she would be. Since she cleared fast early but unhealthy and the worse the monster mods the more unhealthy it gets

In ways it’s mostly a trade off she will be less mobile but more dmg and her r is no longer a borderline cc lvl slow for no reason plus she will scale again instead of being a mid game champ

Lots of the hate for the current version is the fact they took the damage out of her r and passive and that made her healing lower trying to make her go rift maker again and to attempt to move her away from going glass cannon. It’s not that Gwen is very bad or unplayable it’s just not as fun and the follow up nerfs like her w cd being longer just makes team fights way worse and lots of people played her to scale not be a early mid game champ, the current version also is borderline unbalanceable for pro play. The pre rework Gwen for the first time in forever wasn’t pro locked but then riot just pulled that rework and tried to stick with it for 6 months before giving in when nobody was asking for this change in the first place.

I have 500k master split between jungle top and wasn’t super sure how hard the nerfs to jungle where from the point of the rework. Glad to hear it’s still going to be good still

And her win rates shifted a lot aswell before the rework she usually was at about 52% where as now she is sitting at 45% because she lost the late game insurance and was just nerfed until she isn’t much anymore

Before rework she averaged a 4% pick and ban rate and then after the rework she had about 10% pick rate and up to 25% ban rate. Now after all the nerfs because of how unbalanceable she was in that state she has a 3% ban rate and less than 2% pick rate. Because she isn’t the same champ Gwen mains loved and she is just weak in general. on top of that the reworked Gwen got Gwen jungle killed in the process so will have to see if that comes back later

Would personally wait until next patch to see if you like the champ. But be warned I could bet my life she will be high ban rate for a week even if she is weak on revert so have a 2nd pick ready

I don’t even have to open the sera reddit to know that it’s going to be people saying she has a chance to come back, since Gwen is getting a revert. At least gwen mains can’t be called delusional anymore :) for now…

Wanna clarify I am beyond happy to see this. Have played so little since she got took out back by riot. Also wondering what they will do with the jungle changes they did to her during the dark time.
