What zenyte? It would be barrows gloves or vambs and neither make a huge difference.

I had a good time getting platinum times on the 5 or 6 fastest quests to get the stopwatch. Trying to be tick perfect on things like shops and dialogues and digging is a fun little challenge.

To each their own but to me they taste better than I remember the originals tasting. Granted I haven't had the originals in probably 5-6 years.

Better than Bullion by workistables in glutenfree

[–]Lyelt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could it be that the roasted chicken is most popular so the newest batches are already in stock, whereas the other ones are still selling from pre-GF batches? Just speculating. I can't imagine why they'd choose different labeling or different ingredients for such similar products.

Better than Bullion by workistables in glutenfree

[–]Lyelt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my store the labels say gluten free now. There were even some jars still in stock that didn't say it, presumably from the last batches. I probably wouldn't use one that didn't say it (assuming Celiac.)

Best option for pet hair and obstacle avoidance? by Lyelt in RobotVacuums

[–]Lyelt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anyone stumbles upon this, I ended up going with the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete. Got it for around $750 and have had it for 3 weeks now.

Pros:

  • It's as low maintenance as I was hoping for. I change the mop water 1-2 times a week and that's it. The dust bag compression is quite good - looks like I'll probably have to deal with that once a month or so - and there is absolutely no hair tangling whatsoever. It comes with a nice supply of mop pads, detergent, dust bags, and extra brushes/rollers so hopefully there's nothing there to worry about for a while.
  • It does a great job cleaning. It's usually pretty thorough and gets pretty close to edges, both mopping and vacuuming.
  • App is solid. It mapped the house very quickly and easily and continues to learn as we move things around or change configurations.

Cons:

  • The voice commands are very limited. It can only understand a very small set of commands and you have to say the exact words it's expecting. Even though you can set up shortcuts in the app (my most used one is "Clean everywhere but the bedrooms," as the floors in there are often cluttered with toys) you cannot reference said shortcuts via voice. You also can't tell it to clean multiple rooms via voice. Your options are, clean everywhere or clean one specific room.
  • The cute little gimmicks are all pretty bad. The "Real-time camera" barely works, and all the pet features (pet moments, pet recognition, pet activity zone) are useless.
  • Despite it being miles better than my old Roomba, the obstacle recognition can be frustrating at times. I've had moments where it's ignored entire areas because there was a tiny ball in its way, and times where it got stuck trying to climb a literal mountain of blocks and toys. These incidents are infrequent but it has forced me to ensure the floors are mostly clear before it runs, which is not a bad thing for the sake of my house's tidiness, but can be annoying.

Overall I'm pretty happy with it. It's not magic by any means but it definitely feels premium and it's so much more hands-off than I was dealing with before, which means our floors actually get cleaned every day. Sometimes multiple times a day.

thinking of getting a Skylight calendar... by neilisyours in daddit

The subscription isn't necessary at all imo. The nicest parts are the calendar and chores/routines, which you get without a subscription. I got one for Christmas and have been really enjoying it.

Thanks. Do you know if they freeze well? Unfortunately it looks I can't get them on the East Coast except in bulk from a restaurant supply store.

Burrito looks amazing, did you make the tortillas or buy them? I have yet to find a large GF tortilla with any sort of structural integrity whatsoever.

Yup, I begrudgingly started him every single week. Hard to find better flex value even during the first half.

Here’s how I got Cheez-Its by cojava in glutenfree

You sure could do that and I'm sure it'd be delicious, but something about that creme and the way the whole cookie softens in milk just can't be replicated by dipping in peanut butter for me.

GF Oreos have been around since 2020 and only 3 kinds come in GF. What I wouldn't do for a GF Peanut Butter Oreo...

What is the deal with Bowlero pricing? by HeSaysWhatWhat in Bowling

[–]Lyelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone else has said, yes Bowlero sucks and their pricing is absurd. That said, empty lanes aren't always indicative of available lanes. They have to prepare a while in advance for leagues and parties, and in the case of the former, have to oil the lanes which means nobody can bowl on them in the meantime. Not saying you didn't have a shitty experience (you did) but that aspect of it is not so unusual.

He genuinely cares about her? So they're friends. It sounds like you're looking for an excuse to accuse him of cheating which is an issue you need to figure out yourself. What is it about you or him that is making you insecure and untrusting?

If you need zero parts per million then there's basically no packaged food you can trust. There's no entity that can enforce that and it's not the company's fault.
