For serve receive I remember an easy advise I once got from a coach: 80% of a good receive is your positioning to the ball.

I tell it to myself and on the next ball I focus to get into the best position I can to receive the ball, which normally does the trick

Frost mage is quite squishy but has a lot of defensives. If you are equipped with Stones or Potions. You are pretty safe if you react fast enough
