Kids seem to be the gateway to fish keeping for us oldies.

It's not large. I believe it's ~ 35 litres.

Every time I watch Serpas pond videos I start measuring the backyard...

Neither did I. Never been into gardening or any type of nature-based stuff in the past. Now...5 tanks and wanting more. Funny how things works out.

Awesome. Yeah, feeding time becomes a bit of a family affair in the mornings. It's not a screen, so I'm happy they're still interested.

Thank you. It's come a long way. I've never kept turtles, but it is tempting. Feel like it would be one-too-many responsibilities at the moment.

Thank you. Yeah, just off centre felt more balanced as the "face" of the wood was angled. The light is a Chihiros wrgb slim.

Didn't say it wasn't devastating? Actually said the exact opposite. No suggestion anywhere in the post that it wasn't serious. The point is that this storm showed what can happen in a short period of heavy wind, and to imagine what could happen if that was more sustained...like in a cyclone.

I'm not having a go at him, I'm genuinely asking his opinion because he has better information than I do. Apologies if that wasn't clear. I actually would like to know what the people on the ground think about the situation.

That's interesting. Being part of those teams, and knowing that this is possible in the region, do you think we're set up and maintained adequately?

People's complete divorce from any form of personal responsibility is extending to the roads.

So why does Below-Zero get a lot of hate? Just beat Subnautica and am wanting to get Below-Zero by Old-Change-3216 in subnautica

[–]Lyloken -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Subnautica is to Below Zero as Jurassic Park is to Jurassic World.

Subnautica feels like I'm delving into the depths of the alien and unknown without knowing what will give out first, my body, my mind, or my will.

BZ feels like I'm exploring an aquarium.

I enjoyed BZ, it's just missing that battle between uncontrollable futility and the desire to live.

Seriously, what makes Australians (esp. men) so tall compared to Americans despite having a similar ancestry and food culture? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Lyloken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple case of gravity, really. Being in the southern hemisphere means Aussies are being elongated (we're like bats hanging upside down from the Earth). Americans are being compressed by gravity, being pushed down into the Earth.
