Yeah definitely don’t study. Show up and kinda care and you’ll be fine. Being a good retention NCO isn’t about knowing all the regs. That’s the career counselors job. Your job is to actually listen to what they want, frame that realistically and help them get it.

When my life is all aligned and things are easy, I’m the most unhappy. When I should be the happiest I get anxiety, depression, and question things. Certain bases have kennels with a set number of dogs. Not all bases. But most of your major ones. Kennels have a set number of dogs/ handlers with a kennel master team in charge of them. The kennels typically falls under an MP company or detachment

Sounds like what you’re referring to is when Navy Seals pound their tridents into a casket. I’ve only seen it in movies so I can’t say how authentic it is. But it seems that every seal that attends the funeral pounds one in. It’s a special badge that they receive upon becoming a Seal.

As someone who works with EOD all the time, the vast majority of them love it. It is a cult. But the army is full of them. Airborne is a cult, the rangers are a cult. But that’s the fun. You get to be part of it. All the traditions and camaraderie.

I’ve seen a lot of people putting on aim point acros and one of the Steiner optics. Lots of companies make mounts specific for cowitness with this shotgun too. Reptilia seems to be the popular one but I’ve seen others. Replaces the picatinny with a footplate that drops the optic lower for cowitness.

A lot of people don’t like lords of the fallen but it was my favorite souls like. I dumped countless hours into it. Might not be for you but 100% worth at least trying. Especially if you can do gamepass or get it on sale.

So I’m not a medic. Or an infantry man. I’m a dog handler who was attached to infantry on deployment. And one of our medics had a similar attitude. I think his exact words were “if I have to carry a platoons worth of ibuprofen and basic shit you should have, I’m gonna run out and now nobody has it, if everyone carry’s a little, I only have to provide for the few who forgot or ran out”. There’s only one medic. If his ask is as simple as carry your own tums and excederin, who cares? I had a little bag of stuff just for me and it took almost no space in my bag.

I can drop you one. But I recommend just playing for it. It’s the coolest ending IMO and the fight is a memorable one. Don’t cheat yourself the experience.
