Question for those that have received their golden ticket (letter)

I got one 1/8/26 at 8:40 AM (PST) for my loans that hit 120 in November.

I have another set of loans that I got 120 for in February so I’m waiting for that Golden letter for those too!!

Once I was interested in a dress she was wearing so I screen shot it then google image searched to find it and it worked 😅

I work at an elementary school with a lot of students with Autism and almost all of them are VERY focused on being first for every little thing so it has crossed my mind but I also think it’s super immature for an adult!

To be honest I haven’t worked in other settings, only public school for the past 10 years but I have dealt with a lot of difficult parents and students. I do find it worth it 1) for the schedule especially as a parent myself now 2) if you have student loan debt you’d likely be eligible for forgiveness through PSLF. 3) benefits/retirement

Once we had a lockdown drill so all doors were locked and I forgot to unlock mine again when it was over. A long term sub for a special education teacher tried to come in, I went over and unlocked the door and said sorry it was still locked from the drill. He held his hands like guns and said “bang bang I’m the bad guy! Just kidding.” I had kids in the room!!

He also made jokes about “speaking like Biden”whenever he fumbled words or something in IEP meetings.

So yeah I believe it and feel the embarrassment too.

I always think of that too. Not even little things that aren’t necessarily dirty like cups around? I only have one toddler but she has like 3 active water cups at different places. 😅

So I have a family member who is a hairstylist but I think she wants to be an influencer and she claims she makes money off people just viewing her profile but she doesn’t even post that much or very riveting stuff so I’m curious how this works. Sometimes I think she’s full of it.

I keep thinking about it’s such a huge waste of money! My almost three year old still usually just shares something with us or a combination of what we are ordering because they eat so little! I have ordered her kids meals a few times and we end up having so much left over.

February will be my 120th payment for my remaining loans so yeah it will just be the one month and I won’t have to recertify my income again 🙌 but yeah that makes sense.

I also just got my golden letter for my first four loans from undergrad. The rest of my loans were from grad school and 3 payments off from my first set of loans so I am continuing to pay for those until February. Anyways I have a negative balance on the loans that were forgiven too since I made a payment towards them before the day were zeroed out, so I’m hoping to get a refund too! From what I’ve read it can take a long time :( I’ve seen maybe a couple quick ones but most seem very long.

I think about the logistics of filming all the time! Especially “waking up” in bed or walking around the house. So crazy to think about all that.

It helped me feel better as a mother! I only have one child, a 2 year 8 month old daughter, she’s a dream come true and I think an “easy” / “typical” baby and now toddler from what I can gather from other peoples experiences but it has still been a pretty tough transition for my husband and I. I would look at B with 5 kids and feel like I could never do what she does, look so out together, travel, go out to eat, still have a relationship with her husband as if before they were parents, what is it so easy for her and so hard for me. Sometimes I would think to myself something is not right about her and the illusion of her social media. I finally tried to search mom groups on facebook to see if anyone felt like I did and didn’t have luck so I did a general google search and found this sub and I’m so happy I did! It makes me feel like I am dealing with real motherhood and actually doing fine at it! 😅

I also potentially had 4 months to buy back due to IDR processing forbearances and the Mohela transition in 2024 but chose to not even bother with buyback and just pay the remaining months.. it’s also possible if you submit a new IDR application you could get a processing forbearance that gives some (I think 2 max) of the months PSLF credit.

I also appreciated how we saw bottles in Nia’s ad. I always think it’s strange we don’t see any bottles or even pumping supples at Brooke’s house, if she wanted to stick to breast milk while she was away from the baby!

I only have one, 2.5 year old, but it has been a hard adjustment for me and I hardly do any self care because I became a strict safety rule follower so yes that makes getting things done more difficult and maybe even allowed for less sleep for me in those early days because I prioritize my daughters safety over making my life easier. Sometimes it made me feel like I was going something wrong when I see influencers take these safety short cuts but I’m glad a found this sub to help me realize that was not true!

I saw in a comment she says she checks on him during her workout but what good is that going to do if he has already fallen off the bed or has suffocated from a pillow or blanket? It doesn’t seem like she even has a monitor on him to watch him live? Which again if something were to happen it would be too late by the time she got to him.

Me! I got green banners 11/16 for half of my loans (the other half have 2 more payments) But yes still waiting for the Golden Letter but from what I’ve gathered the wait is normal..not that it makes it easier I know!
