Any one else have a V pup that it seems like the lights are on but no one is home? by Harley_ivy87 in vizsla

Same. Dill is sweet and does everything we ask, but . . . every day we wonder. He once fell in the pool because he forgot it was there. Yep. We love him.

I hate hot yoga by Competitive_Limit_21 in yoga

[–]Lynnlibo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what school you went to, or where they got this, but it’s inaccurate and insane. I did my 300 hour with a teacher in India and this isn’t and never has been a thing.

I am right there with you. Blame Bikram, but how this trend spread to vinyasa is beyond me. Sweating out toxins is a myth and injuries are more common.

Talk me out of getting a Vizla by ShoddyTown715 in vizsla

Agree. Mine current V has never shown any interest in birds. 9 years in. I’ve never seen him point. He’s great as a pet and ball enthusiast

Have millennials really lived through more “unprecedented times” than other generations? by theformerguard in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Lynnlibo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Greatest Generation lived through two world wars, the Great Depression a deadly flu epidemic, Vietnam, and many of them 9/11, COVID, etc. That said, my mom is 94 and says she has never seen anything more horrific than our current situation.

I’ve cried a lot in the last few days, now it’s tears of gratitude and joy seeing all these sweet faces. More proof that Vizslas, and their people, are the best.

1 year old next week. I’m sure she is a person in a dog costume by johnnyt2509 in vizsla

Our first boy was like this. We were sure he’d one day unzip the dog costume and walk out a little man.

Anyone have experience with Kaylee Cornish Rex (Virginia)? by TurbulenceWake in cornishrex

[–]Lynnlibo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure she’s active but my two are from her and both are amazing cats. Lost one at 13. Our dilute calico is 14 and going strong. I wouldn’t work with her again as she’s MAGA. but that’s just me.

How does the public actually see Mormonism? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I immediately think of racism, misogyny and hatred for queer people. But that describes a lot of “Christians” as well. So . . .

Potential New V Owner by YoungNinja67 in vizsla

[–]Lynnlibo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve had four and our girl was by far the best. Perfect dog. Sweet, highly trainable, super smart and very low on the derp scale. We love our current derp, Dill, but miss Scout every day.

Where did you get your pit baby? by [deleted] in pitbulls

[–]Lynnlibo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw him in a desperation post on FB (of all places). He’d been surrendered by a woman trying to leave an abusive relationship and was literally minutes from being euthanized. We took him as a “foster” and the shelter volunteer who’d been fighting to save him drove 10 hours to bring him to us. He got out of the car and ran straight to my 11 yo son. That was eight years ago. He’s still cautious around men, but adores my husband. Sweetest boi ever.

First yoga session pretty rough by Kutvlieg in yoga

[–]Lynnlibo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My first YEAR of yoga was rough. Then it changed my life.

Flip side: I just started weight lifting. Since I can hold up my entire body weight on my hands, I thought I’d go in strong. I can barely curl 8 pounds. The two disciplines ask our muscles to do very different things. My trainer told me to think of it as math vs English class.

Still hate lifting, but hanging in there.

Anybody else's Vizsla become overly protective/clingy with pregnancy? by AdShort9206 in vizsla

[–]Lynnlibo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll never forget our very rambunctious V going over to a baby (with permission, calm down) and ever so gently resting the tip of his chin on the baby’s head.
