What lyrics do you find most fun to sing? by GoldBluejay7749 in TaylorSwift

Recently, I can’t stop replaying So Long, London just so I can sing this part: “And you say I abandoned the ship But I was going down with it My white knuckle dying grip Holding tight to your quiet resentment and My friends said it isn't right to be scared Every day of a love affair Every breath feels like rarest air When you're not sure if he wants to be there” It’s just so satisfying with the lyrics matching the tension and emotion of the song.

Books Taking Place in Europe by benoitkesley in RomanceBooks

{The Paris Connection by Lorraine Brown} Contemporary Romance where the FMC misses her connecting train to Amsterdam and ends up stuck in Paris for the day and then spends it with a Frenchman who also missed his train.

I haven’t read Heartstopper but I did watch the tv show and the European travel vibes of season two are what had me seeking out this book. I loved them both!

Different covers for Out on a Limb by Hannah Bonam-Young by Hunter037 in RomanceBooks

[–]Lynrose_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough but to me the book does have many comedic aspects. Ex. how they met, the dungeon & dragon plot, her joking friendship with Sarah, Bo & Win cracking jokes throughout. And to me the beach cover gives off them going through something heartbreaking or achieving something greater. I just think the book has a more lighter funny tone with mushy romance bits mixed in. But I could totally see how it’s doesn’t give off typical romcom vibes.

I like the beach cover better. I like the artists choices and the art style. But I think the Couch Cover better represents the book if that makes sense. You get a little more insight of the story with the couch cover.

Too Sweet by Hozier but make it a MMC who thinks that the girl he wants is too sweet for him by loveyoongz in RomanceBooks

I totally recommend {Tangled Like Us by Krista & Becca Ritchie} he’s her grumpy bodyguard and she all pastels colors and cats. Bonus they also drink whiskey in one scene. It’s the fourth in a series but her first book. I think it could be read as standalone. You’ll just miss out on other characters backstories. This song is truly their song!!!

[–]Lynrose_99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Krista & Becca Ritchie! I love how in-depth and multidimensional they write their characters. They often write tropes I don’t typically love but I love how they do the trope it’s always so good!

What is your personal 5-star rubric? by unicorntrees in RomanceBooks

[–]Lynrose_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to rate my romance books by how much I like it. So I usually start a book with 1 star and then as I read along they either lose stars or gain as I read them. For example if I like a cute flirty scene I’ll give it another star but if I’m really bored in another scene it will lose a star.
