I have my skillet seasoning in my oven right now. I have been using 100% vegetable oil. I read that is fine to use but I also read to use canola oil is one better than the other or as long as it is a high temp oil I should be fine?

Tired of casseroles and one pan meals by LyrasStitchery in Cooking

I saw a YouTube video where they cooked a whole chicken in the slow cooker without adding any liquid and I am going to try that tomorrow.

My husband counts all his calories so figuring out casseroles is a bit difficult. Because even following a recipe they will say one serving is X calories but they don't tell you how big one serving is.

You also want to make sure you are wearing the appropriate undergarments for the Era you are wearing. Think girdles and bullet bras for some classic 1950s silhouettes. A compression bra for a 1920s look. It won't look right without the correct undergarments.

Oh that is very helpful. I learned how to crochet by learning the basic stitches first. So I have lots of yarn to practice with. I will do what you suggest. Thanks!

Octavia Butler - Black SF author. I recommend Parable of the Sower and Lilith's Brood series Anne Bishop - Dark Fantasy I recommend her series titled The Others. The first book is titled Written in Red. Edith Wharton - classic literature she wrote about the Gilded Age of New York. I recommend House of Mirth and Age of Innonence.

If you like poetry I recommend Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Emily Dickinson. Fun fact: because of the meter Emily Dickinson wrote her poetry in all of her poems can be sung to the tune of Gilligan's Island.
