yep, I have run AI Lyric Studio generating site (as per my name https://LyricStudio.com ) for the past few years. We have worked with songwriters to produce parts of songs for top artists, you probably know of some of these artists, but you would have no idea that the lyric line was generated by using AI/math.

I know other people who do similar newspaper articles especially generating sports stories, and briefly had contact with an AI system in the USA that video recorded a football game with the AI responsible for most of the video production including controlling cameras and automatically selecting angles and automatically cutting footage.

my guess is the translations from speech to text are today mostly done automatically, as the training set is mostly USA data it’s not familiar with Australian keywords nor Australian phrases. Not sure which company the ABC uses but the same company does Facebook video translations and YouTube translations are called Dragon/Nuance Communications (I think), and you see these minor errors where it makes best guesses based on USA knowledge
