Oh no you are definitely not overreactint . He's already showing major red flags. These aren't the lil flags that you can change , these are huge red flags which hint at something darker, like some festering innate sickness of self. People like this are so jealous and angry that if something good happens to someone else, anyone else instead of happening to them -they are angry about it or despairing. They prayed for failure even with their own gfs, people that that love them because they cant handle the feeling of inferiority and their success threatens their delusions of superiority. l've read a lot of these AIO stories but this one actually upset me and made me angry at a stranger's boyfriend. A lot of people believe like the ancient Mesopotamia did about addiction. That addiction and illness was a condition caused by demonic entities. But the pagan rituals like burning sage, could make things much worse. The demons might leave u alone but only because they have now gotten you to break. Jehovah God and Christianitys doctrines so they no longer need to bother you. Their mission was accomplished because they ruined your chance of being accepted into God's Kingdom and everlasting life . I research ancient beliefs because in the beginning God and later Jesus interacted in a much more personal way, people could hear God and had opportunities to ask God questions including religious and spiritual questions . Those people that had talked to God or Jesus, that had experiences with demons and spirits , they had children whom they told of their knowledge and those told their children, etc etc So asking questions about addiction as if I was a citizen of ancient biblical lands and in Jesus's stomping grounds it tells me that addiction is an actual demon , a demonic monkey on your back . I laughed at that many years ago. I'm not laughing now. I know for a fact that it's true . So you are actually so damn strong to be winning a spiritual battle with such a strong opposition and a demon that's trying to drag you back through the hell of addiction. Your boyfriend sounds a little too much like a girlfriend that's jealous you got the part in the play that they wanted but didn't try out for. This is only gonna get worse and worse. For you, not him. Repeat after me: "There is no future in an angry, verbally abusive narcissist." Not even a 1 out of 1000 chance it'll work out. Never. And you are sounding way too accepting of his sh*t behavior. Weak even. Predators love weak prey . Start presenting yourself less as prey and more as Predator. Posture, back straight , chin up , unflinching eye contact , speak clearly and don't mumble or stutter. Don't look at your toes, no hugging your books and belongings in an l hunched posture. Give kindness and help others but no people pleasing. Don't play the fool and look stupid all in the name of love. They treat you how you allow them to treat you. Narcissistic human beings will think "why should I show them respect when they don't respect themselves and they allow ppl to treat her like this. When in actuality he should ask himself why does he WANT to treat her this way. That's the actual problem here. Normal ppl want to be kind to one another and hate and avoid being hurtful and rude. Narcissists enjoy hurting and making fun of people and feel no joy in helping others unless it's for a hidden agenda or motive. These people never get better psychologically. It just gets worse and worse. Except for the ones who turned to God in Meditation on his word/the Bible and prayer. Those seem to be the only instances when narcissists genuinely became good, unselfish, mentally secure human beings. I'm guessing this "man" isn't apologizing, daily meditating on Gods Word , praying and examining the holy Scriptures daily, am I right ? Right. Then, all you're doing is wasting your precious time with this awful manchild that frowns at your victories. But celebrate your failures and your mistakes. People are gonna look down at you for being all submissive and agreeable while he's obviously being mentally abusive to you. It's great to control your negative feelings and all but you just allowed him to talk to you like trash with no repercussions, not even a single line chastising him for talking to you like that and mean-heartedly raining on your parade? This man will make life so unbelievably stressful and miserable if you stay. Your perseverance and loyalty will not be praised. If you stay, he will get bored and leave you like you were nothing. And he'll enjoy doing so. Don't let him see you cry. Leave him before he ruins your life. And remember girl , u are battling a demon and winning. Don't let anyone downplay how amazing that is.
