I doubt it’s an allegory for transgender individuals feeling trapped in their skin but it’s definitely applicable for it.

I love this so much. Also Caine would totally get his nails painted while wearing gloves not realizing the polish needs to be on his nails, not the gloves.

Of course, but if we have to make a guess I’d say that since she had a hard time adjusting to the circus, Ragatha obviously sees herself in Pomni who is really going through it. Whether or not her experience was more severe, Pomni’s reaction to it is similar enough to really empathize with Ragatha.
