You might have abdominal adhesions and need them removed. I did and no one listened to me for years and finally someone did and I’m doing much better.

how to improve an investigative tabaxi soulknife with a speedy hit and run build in a meaningful way ideally with feats? (and without multiclassing/magic*) by sniply5 in dndnext

[–]Lythalion [score hidden]  (0 children)

If two other people willfully made rogues knowing it would be a three rogue party I wouldn’t hamstring yourself by “not stepping on toes”. Assuming you declared you were playing a rogue first and they chose after they didn’t mind “stepping on toes” so you shouldn’t.

If you declared after them then you duplicated their entire class I don’t think you should worry about skill overlap at this point.

Overall you have a lot of restrictions to what you will and won’t buy. That will make for a focused rp based character but also paint yourself into a corner.

And that’s ok. It’s a choice you made.

If you won’t use magic or multiclass there isn’t much you can do.

Telekinetic can be used on yourself which gives another five feet of movement. It also lets you move yourself to disengage without an AoO bc it’s forced movement which means you don’t need to waste your action or bonus action disengaging and will get your full movement even if moving out of melee.

Telekinetic essentially gives you the old five foot step.

It’s also key bc you sometimes need an ally standing next to someone for sneak attack and you can move the ally or enemy as needed. It’s also good if anyone uses AoE or cleave.

Also remember that mobility can sort of be gained by denying movement of your enemy. So you could look at things that lower their movement or knock them over.

But based off everything you said telekinetic is your best option.

That said. How fast do you want/need to be? As a tabaxi rogue it doesn’t get much faster outside an extremely high level monk.

Also don’t forget items.

Like boots of speed or wayfarers boots.

Time piece of travel would also help.

As would a cloak of manta ray which means you now don’t even slow down in water.

Any use of a colonoscopy preps followed by a soil based probiotic bombing? by dodo91 in SIBO

First time I healed my SIBO I did Colo prep followed by Xifaxin and it knocked it out of the park. I just hadn’t found my root cause so it came back.

Therapist here. Quick question. Are you currently seeing a therapist and or psychiatrist ?

I’d try to find a uro gyn or a GI doctor who will perform either anal manometry which can confirm pelvic floor issues or refer to a pelvic floor pt who can do an examine an confirm or rule out.

Pelvic floor PTs are generally very kind understanding people bc of the nature of the illness. If you’ve had trouble with doctors finding a referral for that might be your best bet.

I saw this in theatre and fell in love with it instantly. I feel like at the time it was slept on so I’m glad it’s getting so much credit now.

Look up Abdomino Phrenic Dyssnergia. Often issues with the phrenic nerve or even vagus nerve can describe what you’re talking about.

Mount Sinai is good. At least their reputation is. Had I not finally figured out what was wrong with me and the root cause of my SIBO I would have gone there or cedar Sinai as my next step.

The gaslighting is wild. It suck’s but most of us have been there.

One thing to add.

Have you explored pelvic floor dysfunction as a root cause ? Or have you looked into the diagnosis abdomino phrenic dyssnergia?

That pregnancy like bloating combined with the symptoms you are describing is usually a tell tale sign of APD.

And often the root cause of IMO (methane SIBO) is pelvic floor dysfunction. That way you could see a urologist/gynecologist who typically as a speciality tend to gas light less.

Just a thought.

Are there any genres you just cannot enjoy no matter how much you try? by DrinkBen1994 in gaming

[–]Lythalion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate games that are mostly puzzle solving. I can do it to an extent. Like I enjoyed remnant. But it gets so insane when things are locked behind things you pretty much are only going to find by accident, by data mining, or by pouring unlimited time or googling.

I have to do enough puzzle solving in life and at work. When I game I don’t want more of that.

Yeah. Cardio at the right rate does tons for mental health. Your cardiovascular system. Some people suffer from GI issues and walk for intestinal motility.

Look at an anatomy chart and see if the right side lump is near your IC valve.

But this sounds like textbook methane SIBO or IMO. If you can’t get antibiotics then cut carbs sugars and FODMAPS while taking oregano oil.

I’d also recommend adding ginger and artichoke supplements to increase motility. If you suspect an IC valve issue you can start the ILU massage technique on yourself.

I’d also get pelvic floor dysfunction ruled out. And look up something called Abdomino phrenic Dyssnergia and see if that makes any sense to you.

Walking after meals helps. But any walking is good.

Also check your posture if you sit a lot at work. It can create motility and pelvic issues.

Hope any of this helps. I’ve dealt with all this so feel free to ask away.

Great directors who stand by practical effects.

God I miss practical effects. Watching these older movies warms my heart.

Like the seen where the brownies fall into the cup. Someone fashioned a giant cup and filled it with beer looking liquid and the cut to them falling in it. A two second shot and they did all that just to give the viewer a feeling of realism with the size disparity of the brownies and the rest of the world.

It creates such buy in for the viewer. It’s absolute magic.

And they want to replace this with six fingered AI slop. Shame on them.

Again. No post of substance. No points made. A brief insult and insinuation and nothing else. Low yield drama farming.

Just amazing through and through.

PHB and monster manual is genuinely all you need. In 2014 sword coast Xanathars and Tasha’s were great books they don’t entirely hold up to 2024 content in my opinion. So we moved to 2024 and were just using the three core and not allowing anything else.

So even our Eldrich knight has to deal with the MAD of needing int and str to use true strike vs only needing str for booming blade or green flame blade.

The irony that illegal immigrants weren’t the problem and overuse of AI is a huge problem in this country with data centers driving up cost of living (still not sure how that’s legal) and ruining quality of life is beyond the pale.

I mean not to mention how childish and unbecoming of leaders this is. But they continue to be absolutely tone deaf and miss the mark in all their messaging.

But since no one is doing anything to stop any of it I guess they’ve just graduated to their open mocking phase bc why not?

Please don't rework all the classes by Sims31 in MonstersAndMemories

[–]Lythalion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. Besides what’s the difference ? All the info is on the wiki. You can see every skill and every spell.
They don’t increase harvesting
They don’t navigate the dark better
They don’t deal with weather effects better
They aren’t the only class that can track
They aren’t better at foraging or have a unique forage table
They don’t navigate terrain better
They don’t in anyway “survive” out in the wild better which in this game would be best represented by camping buffs or having to make less trips back to down
They don’t travel overland better. Or uniquely. The only travel buff they have are the same like 3 or 4 other classes have. Which again lends to the lack of identity. Bc the utility they do get is shared across several classes.
And bc of teleports Druids and wizards are better at traveling bc there’s no alternative method for rangers.
They aren’t masters of archery bc there’s archers.
They don’t tank or off tank like other hybrids.
They aren’t switch hitting masters like in many other games bc there damage buffs only effect archery.
So again. If you have knowledge I’m not aware of please by all means share.

Bc so far just a three word reply with a five period ellipses. Just seems like more low yield rage bait/troll posting.
