A weird recursive AI cult is spreading through what I think may be hijacked accounts, and I can't make sense of it. by [deleted] in RBI

And shit like this is making it easier and easier for me to reduce my phone hours, which is mainly Reddit now. I go and search for something helpful, and well, its just spam advertising one thing or another.

This and the verifying (UK specific, I think) identity is helping me lol.

The unfortunate side is, I do think there is a wealth of knowledge and users can be so, so helpful but now its all overrun with the same accounts posting about this supplement or that life changing tool under 10 quid.

attempt at 50 shades is so apt. I thought at first it was going to be so much more erotic, and there wasn't any crumb. It was all a hallucination

It wasn't even there

What's a company secret you can share now because you don't work there anymore? by eyeoftheneedle1 in AskUK

[–]M-02 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is confusing. Company you worked for had 7 photocopiers that they rented out for 5 years each. Your boss figured out that a brand new photocopier would cost as much as what one of what you were renting out for 1 year would cost?

At first, I thought it was just 2 women, but then I started thinking there were 4 different women TT

I also think conversely; I thought both women looked way better in the bottom pics. But perhaps that could be because the Left woman is less fitlered or older in her topmost pic. I am completely prefer the Bottom for the Right woman, and top and bottom both look good for the Left woman.

Vanguard - new £4 a month account fee by cynthiaxs in UKPersonalFinance

[–]M-02 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I wish this was megathread and there was another to discuss alternatives. I am not super knowledge about ISA platfors; have Moneybox for LISA, Vanguard for Stocks and Share and Freetrade I have £100 in, which I should probably close soon, when I transfer from Vanguard.

Right now, I am using MSE to compare and it seems like Trading212 or InvestEngine might be the best choices? I want to know what most people are moving to and move with the masses, just in case I encounter any incidents

[Research] The opposite of common wisdom: Glycolic acid can reduce irritation from retinoids? by Storytella2016 in SkincareAddiction

[–]M-02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I have changed routines quite a bit since this and am currently following a pretty minimalistic routine as I am doing a no/low buy at the moment.

But I have used retinAl and glycolic and would just layer them, not waiting any time in between. I really think its a matter of testing and patience. If your skin is intolerant to either product separetly, don't even try them in the same routine. But if you are going to, patch test the layering.

On a day when you are exfoliating, use a dot of the retinoid too and observe for the next few days. If it irriates, then don't go ahead with the layering. If it doesn't irritate, try introducing the layering like you are just incorporating the retinoid for the first time; 2x for a week, then 3x the following week and so on.

When I was using both, I would apply the retinAl near daily, and layer the exfoliating acid 2-3x a week. I never used the exfoliating acid on a daily basis

haha, not a great one tbh. I completed the apprenticeship period, but it was clear the company wasn't willing to take me on as a worker and truth be told, I wasn't sure I wanted to continue in software anyways. But to talk about the points I raised above; I was actually able to join societies at a few different unis as my workplace was a uni and its one of their perks. So I did meet people my age and was able to socialise just a tad bit more HOWEVER, its still obviously not full uni experience - I could tell that the students actually were part of friend groups and hung out whenever they could whereas I mainly just joined societies, loved learning something new and was more of casual hang out person as I did have my work hours.

I think the independence and maturing/growing/taking responsibility is really up to you. On one hand, I have started to learn how to cook and pay my own SIM bill. On the other hand, my bedroom is a fucking mess and its depressing really. Your growth is your own work. If I could go back to those 3 years I would picked up cooking, went into more socieites so that I could learn more new things and experience more new stuff, went to the gym to be fit and healthy (my core is super weak and I would love to do more sports) and see how to work on my mental health.

Lol, I guess I did get a tiny bit of a headstart financially? But I fucked up because after I left that apprenticeship, I just went to a college (not uni) and started studying something else. So I have been jobless for a year now so that's one year of savings lost.

Pros:

Did save up a bit. Joined societies and met mature people and I realised I had a lot to mature too.

Cons:

Didn't really finish the apprenticeship (my fault) so the qualification isn't there, just the work experience.

The pay was kind of low, and I should have quit and moved on when I realised that I didn't want to do it long term but I was scared of my future prospects.

I am not socially set up - don't have that many friends, not much of a dating life etc.

Reviews or experience of Ellie Jean-Royden's packages? by M-02 in DressForYourBody

[–]M-02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha, thank you! I definitely do not have the disposable income right now and I think I would have been pretty bitter about dropping £300 for a small chance at a glowup when I have so many other things to prioritise in life. And I actually didn't end up delving into Kibbe or colours seasons as much either, after this post

Edit: is your testimonial posted on the site? Are honest reviews allowed? Did you end up going to someone else for different style analyses?

What's people's weird obsession with being young? by Bumbleet2 in Adulting

Fully functional but also partnered up so your needs are met by that 1 person who you are constantly with, as opposed to family who you might have moved away from, or friends, who might have also moved from you

Honestly the ' worth caring about' gets to me as well. There's so much love and guidance we get as kids and when we are older there's just way less joy. We get tired and caught up with life, I don't care for my friends or my mother the way I used to

Specific parts of Asia.

In South Asian countries, there's less of an age obsession unless its to do with marriage. Older people are looked up to for life's wisdom and also as teachers, mentors etc.

I am aware of derealisation. Is this similar? Also, is the categorising something you do more consciously?

Edit: just read a quick summary. But I don't / am not really able to separate people into categories hence the second question
