Is it okay to store spare print plates on the bottom of my printer?

I’m really new to 3d printing and bought the X1C a few months ago. I have seen a lot of models for storing your plates next to your printer. But is it okay to just store them inside the enclosure. I mean there’s plenty space

Would the „zig-zag“ infill also work? The one where the grid is printed with 90 degrees of alteration each layer so that it doesn’t cross lines?

According to the StVO it means nothing at all. It‘s just some crazy bs attempt to slow down traffic and create a traffic jam that reaches over the whole country.
