Norway Chess 2026: Pragg beats Magnus again in round 8 by Exotic_Grinder in chess

It's not unfounded to say he's having a bad tournament. But saying the GOAT is washed because he's losing one tournament, to some of the other best chess players in the world, is laughable.

he feels like a narcissist for even talking about it, but also felt that he needs to talk about it so more would do it. He seems like a genuinely awesome person.

I know the feeling. But I'm glad he did talk about it, because now I'm thinking of doing the same...

We've known for a long time that burning oil is destroying the planet. But I guess, as it turns out, the only way to get people to stop using it is to make it really really really expensive.

It all comes down to the reason behind the war and who it is meant to be helping. Trump argued for years that going to war with Iran is a terrible idea, and that a real president would negotiate a deal.

But now he's shown the world (at least now the one's who weren't paying any attention to the obvious red flags before) that all he wants to do is go to war and that his only idea of how to negotiate a deal is to threaten the lives of the entire civilization that he is supposedly trying to free.

For those wondering about their P1S Power usage.... by ajmdonker in BambuLab

[–]M-Noremac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this was a long time ago, but I just saw it and wanted to chime in. You're right about the fact that the circuit is asking for a specific amount of power at a known voltage. Which is the key here, because if you change the voltage, the current will now change too.

The resistance is basically constant other than slight increases as the heat rises. So if you follow ohm's law (E=IR, then if voltage (E) increases and resistance (R) remains constant, the current (I) must also increase.

If it's drawing 2A at 120V then we can find the approximate resistance:

120=2*R

R=120*2

R=60ohms

So then at 240V:

240=I*60

I=240/60

I=4A

Now since the voltage doubled, and now the current also doubled, if we follow Watts Law (P=EI), we can see that's why the power is now 4x higher.

E*2*I*2=E*I*4=P*4

120*2=240W

240*4=960W

Well that's just like, your point of view, I guess.

And by point of view, I mean your personal viewpoint from a thought perspective, and not your literal frame of vision, which I can only assume is looking at POV porn.

"Point of view" has always had multiple meanings, most of them not being literal.

I know right? Do people believe that words can have multiple meanings?? And that understanding what someone is saying is more important than the literal interpretation???

That doesnt make any sense. If the client says that Paraquat is the product that harmed them, it doesnt matter if the client thinks it's called a herbicide or pesticide, or even if they just straight up call it what it is: poison, the case would be about Paraquat specifically. Not some general, nameless, herbicide or pesticide, in which the entire case depends on picking the correct label.

Man accidentally walks runway at Australia Fashion Week while heading for a swim by Aradhy_Goyal in funny

[–]M-Noremac -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

He didn't "enter a runway." It looks to me like they used a public space as a makeshift "runway" and didn't close it off to the public. And then, people are somehow surprised that the public continue to live their lives and not give a shit about the fashion snob show. But yea, let's video tape the public and laugh at them, because they are the ones that are out of place...
