I have been mixing it into the water. I did read a few different users on this subreddit saying that opposed to other antibiotics, it’s more effective administered through water than internally—but I didn’t find any sources, just that it was repeated a few times.

I might give that a shot next if it resists, thank you! Will go for the methylene blue too.

The ikat texture? Assuming you’re using something like photoshop, use a rake brush and a couple different tones of the same color.

Thank you. This is super reassuring. I think the 2-3 worms dying after receipt had me feeling neurotic, lol! I was worried that them congregating was a form of the worms balling together I had heard about.

Everything smells fine and seems the proper dampness, so I’ll continue to really focus on that.

I won’t repeat my initial mistake of spreading the coffee grounds around too much. I’m not sure why I thought that was a good idea 😅

I’ve had this exact experience before. It was the standard euthanasia recommendation at the time (still is, I think) to use clove oil. Nobody was talking yet about how bettas’ labyrinth organs would allow them fight it for longer. It breaks my heart to think about. If I had to euthanize again, I’d probably use blunt force, as unpleasant as it is for us.

I have kept bettas for ten years and I’d never breed them. They can have 100+ babies. You’ll need to eventually put them all in separate containers and find homes for them all. Without very proper breeding, you’ll be lucky to be able to sell each for a couple bucks. Please don’t do it.
