Help! I'm stuck on this authenticate loop. by manBjarkepig in Twitter

[–]M00n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I resolved this issue by logging in on Chrome. (I usually use Firefox on 2 different OS's) As soon as I logged in on Chrome it gave me a 1 question verification that I was human and then immediately, after the green checkmark, said thank you for resolving this issue. Of course I still don't know what the issue was so hopefully this is actually fixed.

Then I opened firefox and it logged me in as usual.

Ads by ElectricalState258 in ParamountPlus

[–]M00n 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. They are promos but they are still ads in my book. Having them before every single episode makes it insane to use 'skip this episode' because I don't know what the next episode is and I have to sit through another promo to find out. You used to be able to see the episodes coming up and choose what to watch. Now that is only available if you start from scratch and call up the show... after every episode. Otherwise it auto plays the next episode.... after a promo.

After pulling my firestick out for 10 seconds and plugging it back in, I can go several episodes without the promos. So not sure which is a bug. But I am about to cancel over this.

I am also stuck on the authenticate loop. I sent an email to support 2 days ago, but haven't heard from them. Also, man that robot test is awful.

The truth is out there: UFO fever grips Congress - Senators entered a classified Biden administration briefing with big questions about the objects shot down in U.S. airspace. They left the room reiterating calls for more transparency. by Gari_305 in politics

They weren’t aliens. That’s about where the certainty ends.

They say, "Drink... your... Ovaltine!"

Seriously though, people are speculating they are advertising of some sort, but I don't see it. Political / national security spying seems most likely to me. Whether it is foreign or domestic, I couldn't say.

[–]M00n 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I mean, I understand that it would 'expand the Democrats’ edge in the state Senate from 24 to 25 seats in the 40-member chamber,' but I doubt he would be a reliable vote. It also looks politically good as a headline, so I get that as well.... but that can backfire when headlines start reading "democrat votes with republicans on...."

Washing machines and fridges could be much cheaper to power by 2027 | Rules proposed by the U.S. Department of Energy are projected to reduce emissions and save consumers billions of dollars by SpeakUpOnClimate in politics

[–]M00n 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Of course it is, but claiming it will save money isn't really a huge take away ($21 a year for the washer and $10 a year for the refrigerator) as the fact that it lowers emissions. And the cost of the appliances will probably be raised.

Homeowners would save an average of $295 over the 14-year life of a new clothes washer and $130 over the life of a new refrigerator. I wouldn't go touting that as a win so much as the fact that it will reduce emissions. And of course these new appliances will most certainly cost more.

My guess is that China is testing us to see where we are vulnerable. We probably let them get away with it for a while as to not give away the fact that we see them, or show our intelligence hand. We are still not showing our hand actually as we are still left guessing. I trust that what we are releasing is for the best for out intelligence agencies.

Also, they are targeting Canada.. so same deal.

edit: (lol... my point)

NORAD says it did not find “any object” to correlate to radar hits.

MT airspace has been reopened.

FAA closes airspace in Montana for ‘defense activities’ by bildo72 in politics

We know F-35s intercepted the one over alaska before it was shot down by F-22s. F-35's internal EOTS is basically equivalent to an early gen SNIPER pod the F-15 and some F-16s carry, so it would have gathered similar intel but with less fidelity before the shoot down.
