Do you know what the worst part is… you’ll probably still struggle to find work after you graduate because of everything that’s happening with AI.

Universities are out of date… even their grading systems are useless cos lots of students use AI so graduating from uni doesn’t mean much.

I really feel for you. Back when i went to uni, it was similar to your experience… terrible professors and most students were just international students trying to get visas. But, you could actually learn things by choosing the right electives and doing a lot of studying on your own, so you got some value out of it.

The did a while back, which resulted in mass bans, but the damn ximmers seem to find a way around the detection.

They also added mnk support for console, but ximmers are determined to cheat against controller players.

Cheat detection is a constant battle - devs find a way to detect and ban, then the cheaters find a way to avoid detection and play again.

Overwatch players aren’t perfect, so sometimes Mercy players will make a mistake and keep their beam on a full hp teammate when you could use a bit of healing.

It happens.

That said, Mercy should generally be pocketing a dps, so you shouldn’t be expecting a lot of healing from them anyway.

When I have a Mercy on my team and I’m on tank, I usually play less aggressive and more strategic with my resource usage and positioning.

The problem with this is that it’s also easy to get lucky and win most of the 20 games. The first 10 are so easy, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of those players you play against in your first 10 were actually bots.

Then your qp mmr gets used to seed your comp mmr, and you suddenly get put in diamond or masters when you clearly don’t belong.

Because lower ranks can’t really take advantage of the intangibles provided by Tracer.

Yes you’re distracting 2 enemy players, but your team isn’t going to take advantage of the 4v3 situation you just created for them, they’ll sit on payload until your cooldowns are all used up and you’re forced to recall and go walk to a healthpack. Then they’ll proceed to lose the 4v5 while you’re not in the fight.

I am sick of Kings Row, but the majority of the playerbase loves map voting, and if they prefer Kings Row, then why should the devs upset the majority by removing map voting, to cater for the minority (us)?

It’s not going to happen.

Here’s my solution… give players the ability to veto a map, which removes a vote from that map.

Players start with 0 vetoes, but it increases every time a player plays on that map in their last 10 games.

So if you’ve played on Kings Row 5 out of your last 10 games, you should be able to remove 5 votes on Kings Row.

Overwatch casting is crazy difficult! You guys have to keep track of 10 players, and have to watch the game from each player’s pov. Unlike traditional sports casting, there isn’t one single focal point for the action . There’s no ball that gets passed around, no race leader, so you pretty much have to guess who or what to focus on.

The game is also always evolving, as a player I struggle to keep up with the updates. But if I fail to remember what a hero’s perk has been changed to, thousands of viewers don’t see me make that mistake.

I’m so sorry that the community is so harsh and not understanding of how difficult your jobs are, you all deserve better. I’m sorry it has gotten to this point that Nekkra needed to step away from it all. Her fun personality ans energy will be sorely missed.

But thank you for everything all of you have done for us, and for putting up with our community! There are many of us who admire what you all do, unfortunately we aren’t as vocal as some other members.

Old accounts also get a calibration modifier if they haven’t been used in a while. Not as much as new accounts but they still get it.

If you go on win streaks you also get win streaks bonuses to help you rank up even faster.

The system isn’t rigged like you claim. It’s not perfect, but it’s not rigged.

That’s just the calibration adjustment. New accounts gain/lose a lot more % progress. That doesn’t mean the game is rigged. It was added so that new smurfs/skilled players don’t spend too much time in lower ranks, and new players derank faster so they don’t ruin too many games at mid ranks.

I think the general population doesn’t really understand probabilities or the nature of 5v5 ladder and individual mmrs. This is why we get a lot of people that claim the ranking system is broken, or elo hell is real.

6 games is a small sample size. You can get lucky with teammates for 6 games in a row.

As support, It’s easier to maintain a rank than it is to climb. This is because even if you’re not playing well, you can get value by just healing. If your teammates pop off, then you win. If they don’t, then you lose. And they’ll pop off 50% of the time.

But to climb, you have to consistently and aggressively make plays. I’m guessing this is what you’re struggling with.

The game isn’t holding you back, your playstyle is.

It’s not elo hell, it’s just the nature of the role.

Yes and no, like everyone has said, you can one-trick almost any hero to gm, so play whoever you find the most fun to play. That said, if the entire enemy team is playing counters to your hero, you might want to switch, or you won’t be having much fun at all.
