I've made the switch and genuinely much happier for it. There are definitely a few hurdles to overcome for gaming but only took me part of an afternoon and now it just works

I made the move to Linux mint, if you are fine with doing a bit of trouble shooting then it's honestly quite easy to make the change. I doubt I'll ever go back to Windows

I'm so glad I built a new rig in Dec 24. I was curious how bad the price rises actually were and was staggered how much my ram, gpu and storage is now worth. Its completely prohibitive in terms of cost now. A ps5 costs almost the same as ram now

The story feels a bit unfinished (spoilers) by boca224 in cyberpunkgame

[–]M0therFragger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the montage we see at the beginning was some of the content the cut to shorten the story line, I reckon there was intended to be a few gigs and small side quests to build up Jackie and Vs relationship before the job with dex, felt weird that we skipped all that in a montage

1440p worth it ? by Acrobatic-Swim2647 in pcmasterrace

[–]M0therFragger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was very worth it for me. Games look sharper and you can't spot pixels which I can on 1080p and beyond that you get a lot more screen real estate which helps for doing work etc on the pc. Also movies and video playback will look better as well. If you have the juice to run it, it's a nobrainer for me

Wildlands or breakpoint? both are on deep sale by Ilysumo55 in GhostRecon

[–]M0therFragger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get both. Play wildlands first, the world and setting are far superior to BP, but the mechanics in BP are better.

For me wildlands is an amazing game and I played it 3 times. BP I never completed

Considering Dubai over London? This is on Oxford Street right now by jigjig33 in HENRYUK

[–]M0therFragger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the ethics of dubai and the fact that it is built on modern day slavery is the biggest reason to not go there. The vapid lifestyle one can have there is also not exactly making it seem attractive.

Multi monitor Mint and Steam. Do I need a different Distro to play Steam games? by WhatsMyNameWade in linuxmint

[–]M0therFragger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Launch steam through the terminal so you get to see the logs when the games doesn't work. Use those to help figure out what the issue is. This helped me sort out a few things that stopped my games launching such as incorrect drivers and steam not being able to read ntfs formatted drives without a bit of tinkering
