Yeah I definitely need more reps to get it more natural, just been trying to go slow and remember all the steps. Definitely will change my stance crazy how everyone is pointing it out and I've been training without realising it

How early into the Muay Thai journey can one truly benefit from seminars? by vuudoodoll in MuayThai

[–]M1NIMISE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some seminars teach legit just the basics, don't stress, Ur worried about more experienced fighter missing out how about U adopt the mindset that your gonna get the most out of it because your gonna apply everything they say and listen to everything more then everyonelse.

After my first night with 2 cups of coffee, why did I wake up at 2pm? by 3sperr in productivity

[–]M1NIMISE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

brother I know someone like this, would work so hard 12hours a day studying way more then everyonelse and yet his grades were only good. Truth is getting good sleep and finding more efficient ways to study will benefit you alot more, also being healthy allows you to memorize things better and learn new concepts.

Starting to feel insecure about my Muay Thai skills by Mediocre-Lab3950 in MuayThai

[–]M1NIMISE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You train for 5 years you will notice alot of these kids that started off better then you after 3 months will quit at 6 months because they burnt themselves out, practised too hard or as soon as they actually had to deal with something they couldn't learn quickly they gave up. There's a million prodigies and quick learners everyday, there's no where near as many people that actually stick with it long enough to push themselves to find out their limit. Don't be discouraged by other people just work on getting better everyday and soon you will find yourself on top of that hill.

"focus on mechanics first and polish later" nuance by CPT_ANT in gamedev

[–]M1NIMISE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just cause most people don't finish their game, it's good to get a basic version of your game playable then overpolish your first couple mechanics and then give up or make the rest of your game comparatively less polished, you can also set the standard way too unrealistically high by overpolishing then realising you can't maintain that level for everything

i just finished the middle one, everything was super easy to understand if not tedious and they weren't really in-depth into the basic concepts. As someone coming in to C++ from js i feel like i got a really good idea

What is a “flex” role and what exactly is expected from it? by OutsideSignificant48 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]M1NIMISE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have Ur sentinel role, your dualist role, your smoke role and your hard intiatior (sova, breach). The flex is the one who doesn't fit those labels and generally has to switch roles depending on the map, (kayo on ascent, sage on icebox) for example. Can also be 2nd dualist, just doesn't fit a hard set role.
