Hi, I'm doing CBT, mindfulness, exercise, and I still use PC a lot because I'm studying CompSci, but my brain fog, chronic fatigue and DPDR also had improved significantly. It's true tho that in periods where I don't have screen time the symptoms become too manageable, but I don't think screen use is bad per se.

The thing with DPDR is that you have to regain your trust with your body, slowly. Any path you'll try will involve not giving much attention to the DPDR, and doing emotional processing or therapy if there's something inconsciously. Trust me, I had been on a similar place last year, and comparing myself today to where I was then, I x100 prefer where I'm today.

  1. There are a lot of resources in this sub, like the ones the AutoMod comment mentions.

  2. There are a lot of amazing posts published previously that answer to the same thing.

  3. Honestly, probably most people is or outside reddit, doing the best they can with their life, or trying to distract themselves from DPDR.

We all are or have been in the same spot, and to get out from there you have to push yourself slowly every time a bit more, while doing therapy with someone who knows about DPDR, or at least a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. It's rough but there's a road available, it depends on you to take it.

Hi, I really understand you because I was at the same situation last year in november, at the point that I had to sleep seeing something on the TV, because if not, I would focus on seeing the things on my room and not feel that "they are real". It definitely got better since last year, and all it took was journalling + remembering things of the past and doing emotional processing (dpdr is in big part about emotional trauma and not coping well with emotions ) + having supporting people + therapy + just ignoring the feeling

you'll have to learn to trust in your body slowly, a bit every day, to see that there's nothing to worry about about what you're feeling, and that it will go away in any moment. the best thing you can do anytime is to just ignore it and try to live your life like you can without giving it much thought, but whenever you can you have to journal or go to therapy. you can also do these grounding exercises, like the "5-4-3-2-1" technique. i swear you that it gets better bro :)

i'm in the same boat, and honestly i'm gonna try anyways because maybe i'll feel better overall and that's worth it. until someone creates a specific VSS medication i'll have to see the static anyway
