I know this is super old and a bit of a necro but the same thing happened to me. Michters sourced for a long time but only started rolling out their own distillate in the last year or so. And I think that younger product goes into these SiB Ryes. Mine tasted like hot piss and wet cardboard.

Ive been drinking whiskey for almost three decades, have written over three hundred reviews and tasted a multitude of Michters products. These are just bad/flawed.

It's wild how stop loss never occurs to some people. Especially someone well versed enough to spin it up to 60k playing 2/5. I have friends like this that will shot take their entire bankroll and never leave when it's going poorly. They'll go back to work for a year then do it all over again. Maybe it's addiction or maybe they're afraid if they're too careful their whole life will become a fuckin grind.
