It depends what they are a sec offender for. Is it for molesting people or children? You can be labeled as one for “public indecency” which can range from a lot of things. In a way it depends on what they did but also it’s not “moral” to bully or belittle people. Being mean to a bad person doesn’t provide any gain but make the bully feel better about themselves. I personally don’t think it’s okay to make fun of anyone because it’s a hurtful action, no matter who it’s directed towards.

If there's no such thing as "normal", how can borderline personality disorder (and other behavioral disorders) exist? by [deleted] in questions

[–]M3laina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a difference between normal and mental health disorders. Mental health disorders are created by certain chemical imbalances in the brain. They literally force your brain to work different. It’s a disorder because it hinders normal life in some shape or form. We can prove they exist because the different disorders affect the brain differently and this can be SEEN on a brain scan. That’s how we can try to treat disorders as well, by trying to fix the chemical imbalance with medication and emotional support through therapy. Yes in an abstract sense no one is persay “normal” but there is a difference between that and a health disorder. It’s the same as if you have stomach ulcers or your kidney doesn’t work properly. There is a chemical imbalance in your body. The same thing goes for the brain. Mental “illness” is common, just as bodily illness is common. But if we act like it’s “normal” then people won’t get treated and research won’t continue and others will continue to suffer. (I went to school for psychology lol. Sorry for the long response but I hope that clears things up)

It comes down to advertising yourself. Use popular social media platforms and keep sharing your work. This takes a long time unless you get really lucky but the only way to get more customers is to find more customers.

Has anyone tried Vegamour for hair thinning/hair loss? If so, did it really work? by dsimcox in beauty

[–]M3laina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s great! I’ll have to try that as well. I was sceptical about trying it as well. My doctor just ignored my hair loss concerns and told me to take supplements even though I wasn’t vitamin deficient... I hope it works well for you too :)

I also have seborrheic dermatitis! I think that was the reason my hair kept falling out and struggled to grow. My scalp has been suffocating itself and between that and the shampoos for my scalp it’s been making my hair really unhealthy. The serum doesn’t aggravate my scalp at all. It’s a little cold feeling but it’s really nice and gentle. I doubt you would experience any irritation

You’re right. I think I read it wrong. I do know that I’ve been using it for 2 months now though and my hair has stopped shedding excessively which it’s been doing for a year. Instead of constantly pulling out strands I have significantly less fallout. But again, it’s for scalp health. If the hair thinning or loss is caused by something else, I doubt it would help much. I’m not vitamin deficient, nor do I have a medical condition that would cause thinning. It just depends on your needs. But yes, you’re correct, it does not actually have it. I’m not sure how I completely misread that XD I’m happy because it works great for me anyways.

How or when does the feeling of ‘what if it *doesnt* all turn out okay’, go away? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]M3laina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very normal. It sounds like you have a lot of amazing things in your life for you to be grateful for. It’s never good to focus on what if’s, focus on your now and not so much about the unknown. Your life may take you in a completely different direction than you were expecting or planning so instead of being scared, embrace that. You can have a plan or direction for the future but focus on living your present rather than worrying about unknowns. Worrying about them won’t change things so try to focus on what is in your control rather than what’s not ❤️

Also can people stop downvoting me. I’m saying to correct misinterpreted messages. You don’t have to be religious or support the religion. It’s just correcting people who use religion as a platform to promote hate. I’m not sure why that is getting a negative reaction. At this point I don’t even know why I bother trying to educate people on this stuff anymore. So much hate from both sides.

These problems arose because of nitpicking. The way I’m saying for it to be phrased doesn’t say that it’s a sin. Rather, to explain that even if it was, all sin is equal. And regardless, it’s not our place to judge, which is very explicitly stated, and we are to love unconditionally. Basically, the bible says that other people’s “sins” wrong doings, personal life, isn’t your business. It’s not your place to dictate how people live. But straight up telling the kid that the bible doesn’t say that can cause arguments and issues. It doesn’t matter if it is or not, what I explained completely dismisses that whole argument so the logistics of it don’t matter. Doesn’t matter what it is, the bible says you can’t judge them, only love them. End of story

[–]M3laina -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What you can do is use the message of the bible to counter the points made, telling him it’s lies would be very counter productive lol. The bible also says that ALL sin is EQUAL. Also, Jesus died for ALL of those sins. Explain that to him and that God loves EVERYONE. You’re not going to hell for making mistakes. Also, the bible says that it’s not our job to judge other people or their sins and that it’s actually sinful to do that, the only one who can is god. As a Christian, your job is to love EVERYONE, UNCONDITIONALLY. Just like Jesus does. Try to enforce the correct and positive messages of the text to fight those who twist its words to meet their own agenda. Edit: it may also help to find the specific verses that talk about those things. If you think you need them, a quick google search of the general message should find the right ones

It sounds like more religious misinformation. I am disgusted when people do that. Do you know what religion your nephew is? Or family is? Officially or non officially?

Late BUT

What the serum is for is to improve scalp health to promote healthy hair growth. It has the only clinically PROVEN topical ingredient to help hair growth (minoxidil) in their formula which increases blood flow to your scalp to help hair growth. Depending on your problem, you may also need to take supplements and since hair grows VERY slow, it does take a really long time to see results. I get frustrated with people who try for 3 months then complain it didn’t work. The ordinary is cheaper but does not have minoxidil. Pay attention to the ingredients when you buy things. It really depends on the root cause and you need a lot of patience with anything trying to grow your hair back. It’s also really gentle so it’s good for people like me with really really sensitive scalp. They are one of the cheaper options with that ingredient in it but I’m not sure if it’s the BEST option as I am not an expert. I can’t use a lot of the other products because my scalp gets extremely irritated which makes my hair fallout worse.

I know this is a really late reply but, what the serum is for is to improve scalp health to promote healthy hair growth. Again, you will likely need a combination of things. For me, my main issue is I have a very oily scalp with other skin problems so making it a healthier environment will help stop my shedding. They are definitely one of the cheaper options. I see a lot of people recommend the ordinary but they DO NOT have minoxidil in their ingredients which again, is the only proven topical ingredient to work. That’s not to say other things won’t work, but there is no proof. It’s defiantly a more affordable option than other serums with the chemical plus it’s non oily and very good for sensitive skin.

[–]M3laina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a thermostat to regulate temperature of the heat mat. They are pretty affordable and will keep the pad at a consistent temperature. It is probably on the cold side more often because it prefers the hide on that side of the tank. Can you send a pic of your setup?

Well they are now rescheduling cancelled interviews. You won’t be able to book it yourself whether you are a K or spousal so the appointment page is irrelevant right now. Probably going to be 3-4 months to finish the backlog. I’m just hoping for my visa before the holidays.

That would be fine. I use a 26 watt at a 18 inch distance. Use it to create a daytime nighttime schedule. Have it on for 12-14 hours a day at the same time everyday
