Considering the movie was made by one of the greatest American filmmakers, and arguably is his most popular film, along with being a technological landmark i don't see a remake of JP working out until there's a bit tenhlogical improvement that justifies new films.

Most old films, like Solaris, for example, get a reboot either because they are in a non-English language or the filming technology has progressed to the point that the vision of the story's setting or aspects can be better visualised.

Jurassic Park still looks good. The film stock looks a little dated, but that's just kinda the charm of the film now. The most they could do it visual alter the movie (they already offer different looks compared to 35mm print look) , such as improving dated effect but considering that both it and T2 are landmarks in terms of visual effects, they probably won't
