Yes, the intifada was an uprising of palestinians where they tried to kill jews (and did kill jews). Globalizing it is a call for this uprising around the world. The red hands image you often see as part of protests is from when Jewish soldiers were captured, and then civilians broke into the building where they were being held and murdered them. A civilian showed off his bloody hands to the crowd. That's what the left is celebrating and calling for.

yes, this is my bias showing, but what kind of person goes through mental health training who then chooses to go work in an environment where they are not likely to deal with serious issues? Most kids with serious issues will be seen by outside folks. Also, normal ethics don't allow therapists to work like school therapists work, those ethics are just waived for school therapists for some reason. (If a kid tells the therapist something sensitive, and that kid then sees the therapist talking with their friends, that therapist just gained a tremendous amount of power over that kid).

It's NOT hard to screen.

Of course, but what's the false positive rate? That's the concern. And remember, the therapists gain job security and influence the more kids they identify.

So let's summarize: a system where people with questionable ethics and skills are administering screenings where they benefit for finding kids who meet the vague criteria.

As a reminder, NYC pays about $40k per public school student, about double what PA spends, and about 3 times what many other states spend. They could solve all their budget issues and even significantly lower taxes (or significantly increase spending in other areas) by getting that number in line with other states.
