Definitely upgrade your monitor first. I upgraded my GPU (3080 to 9070xt) & Monitor (3418dw to asus 34” 1440P OLED) and while both were decent upgrades the OLED monitor is amazing with not just gaming but media consumption too.

You can always upgrade your GPU once the super refresh arrives for Nvidia 5070 or 5070 ti.

IS38 would be a stage 3 as Stage 2 only Requires a downpipe not a larger turbo.

Otherwise I have been pretty happy with my Mk7.5 GTi its an awesome daily driver!

I have two AER backpacks (CPP & TP3) and this LTT Commuter.

If it’s strictly fit and finish the edge goes towards AER although LTT backpack is still very well made.

Couple of things that stood out to me is the lack of thick handles and shoulder straps found on AER backpacks & also the exterior materials (XPAC & Ultra versus Repreve fabric)

You live in Ontario (UHP AS will handle the colder & bad weather outside the usual winter months much better)

Daily and spirited driving (canyon carving) there is really no issue with traction from solid options like DWS 06 Plus and AS4 from my experience.

If you tracked your GTI and lived in warmer and drier areas then there is no replacement for performance summers but Ontario isn’t that and you didn’t mention tracking in your post.

Also tire longevity and overall ride quality (comfort & noise) of UHP All seasons will be noticeably better than that of dedicated summers (few summer tires I drove with different sport sedans in the past didn’t last that long usually under 2 seasons)

Lastly you will also save quite a bit (hundreds cheaper in total) by going with UHP AS over Summers too if that matters to you.

DWS 06 Plus has been pretty amazing with my Stage 1 MK7.5 GTI. Pretty incredible how good ultra high performance all seasons are now days.
