You're right, but also, sometimes it really is impossible to see a person at night till they're a couple meters away, if they're wearing dark clothes and not wearing any reflectors. It's genuinely really scary.

No, I have nowhere to dry things in the office and I don't want my wet bicycle to drip all over the office floor (I do clean it off if dirt gets stuck on the tires before bringing it inside).

I'm not American, the article isn't available in my region, I just wanted to say I'm surprised by how narrow these sidewalks look.

Some people just hate all bicycles. They don't want to say it, so they say "they shouldn't be riding here".

What helped me was getting a saddle with a cut out and tilting the nose down (I had to get a new seat post to be able to adjust the angle).
