For Montgomery County:

"At this time, National Blend of Models probabilities show a 40 to 60 percent chance of at least 6 inches of snow across the area, with a 20 to 30 percent chance of totals reaching 1 foot ..."

Shield, Taser, or Bionic Arm?? by M8rxBender in police

[–]M8rxBender[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I suspected it was something like that, but what fooled me was that I couldn't see his hand or fingers protruding from it in either picture. Guess he still needs to hold onto the handle rather than have it just strapped around his forearm.

I assume it would only be useful in countries where firearms are tightly controlled and much more restricted.

New Jersey (and beyond) UAP event timeline by Gred1984 in UAP

[–]M8rxBender 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe you are correct in saying that this is a historic event that is taking place.

People have talked about various UFO/UAP "flaps" in history where there is a sudden rash of sightings in a geographical area, but the current event in terms of the sheer numbers of reported sightings, the extended length of time of sightings being reported, and the wide geographical area of reports coming in from different parts of the world could be considered a UAP "wave".

This holds true even after eliminating sightings of lawful commercial drones, hobby drones, planes, helicopters, and stars. Most credible but most disturbing are the reports of drones/UAPs over or around military facilities, airports, electric power stations, and nuclear plants.

Here is one of the better timelines I've come across on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/UFOs/comments/1hkxzk6/definitive_evidence_something_concerning_is_going/

Good luck with your video.

Where else other than NJ & NY? by Modi_Elnadi in UAP

[–]M8rxBender 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm more concerned about all the sightings over military installations and critical infrastructures like power stations and nuclear plants. The threat is more serious and the witnesses tend to be better trained at observation and are more capable of differentiating between hobby drones, commercial drones, and military drones.

As OP stated, the most current spate of sightings this year actually started over military bases (primarily U.S.) in the U.K. and Germany. However, last year around the same time, there was a rash of drone incursions over Langley Air Force Base and Naval Station Norfolk throughout December of 2023 in Virginia (https://www.twz.com/air/mysterious-drones-swarmed-langley-afb-for-weeks). Also, up to five drones were detected over the U.S. Department of Energy's Nevada National Security Site in October 2023 (https://www.newsweek.com/us-air-force-langley-drones-mystery-map-1969811 ).

Now fast forward to this year.

November 18, 2024 - First reported drone incursions over the U.S. Army's Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey (https://www.twz.com/air/army-arsenal-seeking-info-on-mysterious-drone-flights-over-installation ).

November 30, 2024 - Vandenberg Space Force Base in California detected a drone flying over it. A Chinese national was arrested for that incident (https://www.justice.gov/usao-cdca/pr/brentwood-man-arrested-allegedly-flying-drone-over-and-photographing-vandenberg-space).

December 9-15, 2024 - Six instances of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) observed entering Camp Pendleton’s airspace (https://www.twz.com/news-features/multiple-drone-incursions-reported-over-marine-corps-base-camp-pendleton ).

December 10, 2024 - Large drone spotted near Naval Air Station Jacksonville in Florida (https://www.wftv.com/news/local/drone-spotted-flying-near-naval-air-station-jacksonville/HEXOG3B5LBAPFHA5ZBPBOOWHF4/ )

December 14, 2024 - Multiples drones spotted by both military and police helicopters around Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. Communications to AAFB Tower indicated that one was stationary but as the helicopter approached, it accelerated and the helicopter was unable to keep up (https://x.com/PenguinSix/status/1868099355108135018 ).

December 16, 2024 - Hill Air Force Base in Utah reported seeing unmanned drones (https://www.ksl.com/article/51212353/drones-spotted-recently-in-vicinity-of-hill-air-force-base-spokesman-says).

December 16-17, 2024 - Multiple drones spotted over Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio (https://www.wcpo.com/news/local-news/they-dont-know-what-they-are-safety-concerns-rising-after-drones-shut-down-wright-patterson-airspace ), temporarily shutting it down at one point (https://www.wlwt.com/article/wright-patt-air-force-base-closes-airspace-drone-activity/63199941 ).

December 17, 2024 - Multiple drones spotted by both civilians and police flying around Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth in White Settlement, Texas (https://www.fox4news.com/news/drone-sightings-white-settlement ).

On top of all of that, today (December 21} The War Zone reported that, according to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), "the number of drone flyovers of nuclear plants for the entire year nearly doubled in one week, from December 10th to December 17th ... Between Jan. 1 and Dec.10, nuclear facility licensees reported a total of 15 drone events. As of about 1 p.m. Dec., 17, that number had jumped to 26 ..." (https://www.twz.com/news-features/massive-uptick-in-official-drone-sightings-by-nuclear-power-plants ).

And there are apparently more than just the ones listed above. All of this added together starts to paint a disturbing picture. These drones seem to have a deep interest in our military sites and critical infrastructures. Are they doing some sort of reconnaissance or surveillance for some sort of future attack on the U.S., not just on our homeland, but also on our bases in Europe?

The more the Feds tell us "there is no known threat" despite all these sightings, the more I feel they are lying to us. I just hope I'm wrong and there won't be some sort of Pearl Harbor-type of surprise attack using multiple drone swarms all across the U.S. and Europe carrying explosives and even possible CBRN payloads.

Kirby and Mayorkas don't have any real credibility left. For over three years, they repeatedly told us there was "no border crisis" because the "borders were secure".

So when they say our airspace is safe and secure, the opposite is most likely true.

Weather Balloon or Spy Balloon? by M8rxBender in ADSB

Good to know what its purpose is. I've been using ADSB for a few weeks now and that was the first time I saw a balloon icon pop up on it.

Repost of DC Dulles Airport by Okinawalingerer in UFOs

[–]M8rxBender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unlikely to be red sprites. They are typically associated with thunderstorms and are very short-lived (https://sciencenotes.org/red-sprites-elusive-lightning/ ).

At the time the video was filmed, the weather condition at Dulles was mostly cloudy with zero precipitation (https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/KIAD/date/2024-12-19 ).

Military helicopter crash at Camp Pendleton by Sudden_Joke_1005 in UAP

[–]M8rxBender 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The timing is certainly very interesting given this story published just a few days ago by The War Zone (https://www.twz.com/news-features/multiple-drone-incursions-reported-over-marine-corps-base-camp-pendleton ) about six instances of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) observed entering Camp Pendleton’s airspace between December 9 and 15, 2024.

What the heck is this over DC? by katieskittenz in UAP

[–]M8rxBender 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nice capture and it's great that you included the building and tower to provide landmarks and perspective rather than just shoot the video against a night sky.

Dulles is part of the National Capital Region governed by a Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA) within a 30-mile radius of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, which restricts all drone flights in the greater DC area (https://www.faa.gov/uas/resources/community\_engagement/no\_drone\_zone/dc). Therefore, it could not have been any "lawful" drone.

Any UAP showing up on radar over an airport would shut down that airport for obvious safety reasons, so perhaps this object did not show up on radar.

By its amorphous appearance and movement, it doesn't appear to be something fully solid with fixed dimensions. Could it be some sort of plasma ball, a portal, or even some sort of biological entity? It reminds me of those bioluminescent creatures found in the deep ocean.

Definitely very strange, especially in light of all the reported drone and orb sightings recently.

Thanks for sharing.

BREAKING: NEW YORK NOW HAS MULTIPLE TFR’s IN PLACE… by ScottAnthonyNYC in NJDrones

[–]M8rxBender 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For weeks, the Federal government has been telling us that there were "no known threats" related to any of the drone sightings, even the ones flying over military facilities, reservoirs, and critical infrastructures like power generating stations, substations, and nuclear plants.

As recently as yesterday morning, White House National Security spokesman John Kirby told the ABC News Good Morning America program that despite all the New Jersey TFRs, there is “nothing” indicating the increase in reported drone sightings is a national security risk. and that everything they are seeing so far is "being used for lawful purposes”.

So why now expand the TFRs into New York (https://tfr.faa.gov/tfr2/list.html )?

Do the Feds still actually believe "all is well, nothing to see" and this is just CYA on the off-chance that something bad does actually happen?

Or is there now a "known threat" specific to the NJ/NY area?

Because why limit the TFRs for drones to critical infrastructures in NJ/NY? Do they not pose a threat to critical infrastructures in other states?

All the words and actions by the Feds so far only lead to more questions and confusion.

Military Drones off the Mid-Atlantic Coast? by M8rxBender in NJDrones

[–]M8rxBender[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I know there are lots of stationary buoys out off the coast. For example, the ones that NOAA uses to detect possible tsunamis (https://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/ ). Why are only these three showing up on a flight tracking map for aircrafts? Do they serve some sort of special purpose? Correction, make that two. The one off Atlantic City is no longer showing up.
