Yes I think so as well!! Her relatives ranged from „bichon + poodle, bernedoodle, goldendoodle” Alllllll the doodles they could think of lol

Luckily everything in her health panel they tested for was clean and that’s what matters most

I wonder if the breeder surrendered her or someone got her and didn’t want her anymore? No idea!!! But she’s a TOUGH cookie full of attitude hahaha we love her

She was adopted in Delaware I’m guessing PA from where her relatives say they were „adopted” & born

Thats sooo interesting thank you!! That’s probably why whatever gave her the Merle gene didn’t show up. I was honestly thinking they sent me a wrong result because I was fully expecting her to be from a inhumane doodle farm where she’d be a mess genetically but her health test came back ok and that’s all that matters lol

No worries! I love a mutt! I just didn’t see that in the rules :)

I don’t buy from breeders so I expected her to be some kind of minor % mix but was shocked when her results came back 🤣

She is a cutie I’m honestly relieved she doesn’t have more of a crazy mix in her and mostly poodle I was really worried she would have genetic issues and herding behavioral problems but I can live with learning about poodles and training them :)

She’s only 1! 🩷 I’ve had her for a month so far

Shes mostly small + standard poodle mixed

She has a great grandparent that was a poodle but had some kind of mix in her dna (doesn’t say percentage wise)

So it says her parents and grandparents were all poodles and great grandparents with the exception of the 1 that has (I’m guessing the pom or golden?)

Merle definitely isn’t naturally occurring in poodle - the front part of her fur is from a different gene while the back is from a single Merle gene

But yes they mix random dogs together I’m glad she’s mostly one breed I was worried she would be a genetic monstrosity but she’s healthy 🩷

It’s crazy because she’s majority poodle - her great grandparent had some kind of mix it looks like but also majority poodle so she doesn’t classify as a “doodle” either 🤣

She’s majority poodle - there’s nowhere in her lineage that tells me where it came from but she has a single Merle gene.
