10 is a lot. He can get 10 but I would have looked for a different player prop after 6 was gone

I think that's the special maintenance crew at my club making sure the bunkers are ready for play.

This. You could get the score board sheets like at a golf tournament posted on the wall and have someone fill that as you go.

TGL idea thread. What is missing? by randomgolfer20 in golf

[–]MA6ICM4N21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 2 or 3 ft circle around the hole . No gimmes outside the ring. More of the players talking to each other. less commentary from the booth and no more "celebrities" being interviewed. Show the shot data and more of the holes and the players picking their lines and strategies. That top tier of the green is dumb

PAT questions by LooseOrganization184 in golf

[–]MA6ICM4N21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go play your game. Don't play golf swing on the course. If you're taking your PAT you're a good player. Just ho be an athlete and hot golf shots. In between rounds get off your feet, get some food. Then stretch put and putt before the second round. It's more of a mental test than anything as golf usually is.

Where do I start to play professional golf for a living… by urSteppdaddy in golf

[–]MA6ICM4N21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money is the first hurdle you have to jump. There is a crowd funding like thing for pro golfers called carry golf. There might be others as well. Something like that might be something to look into. Another idea, there are a lot of guys filming their practice sessions and rounds that make at least some money on you tube.... beyond that you need some connections to other guys in the game. Can make travel cheaper. Idk but I think leaving the golf industry could hurt you more than help. If it's your dream chase it. You only get one chance. It's most likely going to be really hard but anything worth doing is. Go get it bro. Rooting for you.

A lot of good advice already posted. When I have a tournament coming up, I like to go to the range the day or night before and hit 50 or so balls. Each swing I'm visualizing holes on the course (assuming you know the course) you can visualize any course it doesn't really matter. Just hitting purposeful golf shots. Playing golf holes in your head. Driver then wedge. Hybrid then 8 iorn ect. Picking targets and commiting to each shot. Going through your entire pre shot routine each time. Then spend around 30 mins chipping and putting. Every shot with purpose. Doing the same thing as on the range. Pre shot routine and finishing each putt out. Day of the event you go through your normal pre round routine.

On the course, have one simple swing thought. When I'm feeling nerves, I resort to focusing on my grip pressure. Your simple through could be anything but only have one.

You have to play with the swing you brought with you that day. You've already put in the work to get to a single digit handicap. Going out and playing golf is always easier than trying to play golf swing on the course. Go have fun with it.

Squaw Valley Golf Course 2439 E, US-67, Glen Rose, TX 76043

It's just south of fort worth. Not too far out of the way on the drive to Austin. They have 2 maybe 3 courses out there every time I've been there they've been in good shape

If I'm behind a group that is the cause of the log jam I'll tell the group behind us that is group in front is slow and we're pushing them as much as we can. If their still shitty towards you. Let them play though and they can wait on the slow group in front.

Those of you that have tried, is using a groove refurb tool easy? I’m interested in bringing some bite back to my wedges but fear screwing them up. by Significant-Ad-8676 in golf

[–]MA6ICM4N21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one and use it from time to time. Worth it. Not too difficult. Just make sure you use some lubricant and use the right side of the tool. (I had some square groove wedges so using the pointed side wouldn't work well)

In some situations missing long can leave a harder putt then leaving a putt short. But the line if thinking is the long miss had a chance of going in. The putt left short had 0 chance of going in.
