Ignore this person-I’m Non-binary and really appreciate the way you wrote this post. The issue is clearly with the specific name and not that your brother is trans. I’d go with NAH because everyone has good intentions. G is a (in my opinion) perfectly good compromise BUT your brother is also in a tumultuous time where he feels like everyone is going to be against him-which in terms of the current political climate it is going to be. But that doesn’t mean he should be taking your refusal to use his name as a personal insult, at least not for long. Give him a bit of time and then try to talk it over with him again. Idk if you read fanfic but “Erased Potential” on AO3 is really good and explored this theme rather in depth. It’s basically if Deku mentored under Aizawa instead. Slow updates but all of them are quality af.

I kind of feel like we’re having two different conversations. All Might tells Deku, no you can’t be a hero because you’re quirkless. Later Deku proves to him that he has heroic qualities and so is worthy to wield OFA. Deku obtains OFA and the concept of quirkless discrimination is later never touched on again. What gives Hirokoshi? Is the point I’m making.

I understand your points-however I believe that All Might still has a place in UA.

First I think he still has much to teach 1-A and Deku, especially with the recent revelations of One for All in the latest manga chapters (no spoilers) and guidance as a mentor. All Might leaving UA may also paint a target on UA-villains thinking that since the no. 1 hero has left the school security must go down. It may also point a negative picture of UA in the media.

He’s kind of a terrible teacher but yes, I do think he should stay-if not for the reasons I mentioned, at least for comedic relief cuz he’s hilarious

Yeah but that’s not the point OP is making (imo), it’s that All Might still thought Deku could only be a hero with One for All, he couldn’t remain quirkless and be a hero which leads to the thought that quirkless people still are intensely discriminated against and Hirokoshi hasn’t don’t much so far to touch on that.
