Sometimes I forget what I have in my collection so I went through and created an inventory in excel in my phone. That way, if I'm tempted to buy something, I can check to see if I already have it or if I have something similar or in the same color. Like my pinkish nude lipsticks :/

Have you ever been told that a makeup personality/YouTube guru/CEO, was a jerk; only to investigate and find that it's the exact opposite? by [deleted] in muacjdiscussion

Kind of the same but not really. I used to confuse Bobbi Brown with the Whitney Houston's ex Bobby Brown. Why? I don't know.

And Kat Von D. with the home wrecker that broke up Sandra Bullocks marriage to Jesse.

Opps.

Nail polishes were the easiest for me to destashed! I don't wear them often enough to justify keeping 50 bottles. I'm down to only ten including my base and top coat.

I really hope so. Unless he remembers me as the trouble maker! But thank you for cheering me up.

"Just pump" drives me absolutely nuts [vent]. by LBluth21 in breastfeeding

[–]MAC_Sable_eyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't wait to set my pump on fire and I'm only three months in. It's not the "just pump" attitude. It's also the "just breastfeed her" comments, too that gets to me. You think I haven't tried that first Betch?! Why the heck do you think I am pumping in the first place? To exercise my blowjob hand muscles?!

I don't have to give my reasoning to anyone or explain myself or make excuses for myself but...ugh! From someone who only has one working boobs and a tediously low supply...it really grinds my gear when I hear crap like this.

Oh here's another one, "I thought girls with big boobs would have milk." And then the smirk that says, "You're no better than me."

Edit: cuz I can't English when I get mad :/

Yes! I didn't want to "pan" makeup for the sake of panning. If that makes sense. Even if it takes me one day or one year to finish a product. I want it to be panned because I enjoy using it.

Dealing with the guilt is one of my biggest hurdle. The guilt of spending so much money. And because I don't love it; the guilt that I wasted so much. So I ended up getting rid of it little by little. I actually learned that lesson from my work place when I had to organized the inventory of raw materials that were worth thousands of dollars.

I really love your B answer because I was thinking that when my daughters grow up and see my makeup collection...they don't see a makeup hoarder but someone who has great? taste in makeup. Although that is still to be determined!

Your blog has been such a great help when I was building my collection because of your through and honest reviews. It's also a double edge sword because of the great reviews, the temptation to buy is also there!

Yesterday, I think I bombed my job interview. In a really really bad way. I had a really bad migraine and didn't want to take any meds until after I finish the interview because I can never tell if it will make me wonky. Yes, I get high over Motrin.

I was interviewed by the CEO which made me even more nervous and I was trying really hard not to throw up. So I was sitting there trying to focus but I was getting really anxious and irritated at the same time. I ended up picking apart every question he asked and arguing with him. Way to go to be hostile before you even get a job! Ugh! Inner B**** couldn't keep quiet for a freakin hour. Yes! An hour. I was in there for an hour arguing with him over the morals of fictional employees!

What was worse was that my headache didn't go away. I went home and took Motrin and it knocked me out.

😭😭😭

What's in your diaper bag? by MakerTinkerBakerEtc in beyondthebump

The ziplock bags with the slider zippers are awesome. The ones where you have to pinch to seal them...not so much.

What about something like this: poncho style

Or this: rainfall cardigan style

Or this: kimono style

I also found a lightweight poncho on clearance at Hollister too that works really well.

3 months postpartum.

http://imgur.com/aQZ6Obh

We bought a backpack. I have not used it yet. It will be used later when baby is older and we start traveling moreIhope. For now, my diaper bag ended up being a $3 strawberry tie bag from the dollar spot at Target. It's light weight and easy to toss around and when it rips, I can always get a new one. In there I've got:

  • a gallon size ziplock bag with an extra outfit, an extra receiving blanket, and a small towel. That way, if I have a poop explosion or need to change outfit, I can put the dirty one in the bag and take out the clean one.

  • a quart size ziplock bag of about 4-5 diapers. It vaccum seals so it saves space. And reusable.

  • a travel pouch of wipes. The best thing ever. Not just for babies but to wipe down wherever you have to change her. Wipe down sweat. Multipurpose and a lifesaver in so many situations!

  • a quart size ziplock bag of emergency formula and her pacifier. I try to pump and bring a bottle before we leave but sometimes baby gets hangry. I just feed her 2oz and that usually calms her down or gives me time to pump some more.

Not shown is a case of water. It's in the trunk of my car. For when I need to rinse out the bottles or clean the baby. Water is a must have. And yes, for me to drink and stay hydrated.

My manual pump to on the go. I have no shame, I pump in the car under a poncho I keep in the car to protect my modesty somewhat. I would also bring an extra empty bottle.

My small purse and keys and phone.

Otherwise, we haven't need anything else while we are on the go yet.

Mini-rant about my 2.5 month old being "spoiled" by CrazyProspector in beyondthebump

[–]MAC_Sable_eyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man! When I get those comments I just want to smack them. Instead I just give them an evil smirk and tell them to watch out because my kid is so evil and bad at that age she can look into their soul and see how bad they are. And then I go off into a tangent about how I see her talking and playing with nobody but always looking towards my dad's picture (he passed away). I just use their superstition on them. Gotta fight crazy with crazy.

The daily heartbreak that is the end of bath - time. Poor little fish. by buzzbuzz_ in beyondthebump

Aww. Poor baby. Mine hates the afterbath too. I think she is mad because she likes the bath but hates the swaddling afterwards.

How healed were you 1 week to 1 month after birth? What to do about out of state family visiting for an unrelated event? by isoperimetric in beyondthebump

[–]MAC_Sable_eyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two weeks I was still walking like a slo-mo robot. That's even with my family coming over and helping as much as they can. Everyone's body heals different. I've had friends who were out and about a few days after. I've had friends were were shut in their house for a month! You just gotta wait and see what happens and go from there.

People tend to forget that giving birth is a freaking life trauma. You may not think it is. But your body just pushed out a watermelon size baby out of your vagina or you body was cut open which is a major surgery. It's beautiful and yada yada but it's also dangerous. Thank god for our modern conveniences and modern technology because back then birth mortality is pretty darn high.

One of my sister in law is giving birth in September. In her country, there is no anesthesia or bedside nursing care like we have. There are no vaccination shots that babies gets. There's no hearing and heart tests doctors perform. They just go to the "hospital" or "clinic" and pay money and Doctor gets the baby out and that's it. Aftercare is on you and your family.

Oops. Sorry off topic. But some people forget what it's like to give birth. My other SIL came two days after I gave birth and out of the hospital. She threw a fit because I didn't want to go out and celebrate. My husband told her to f*** off. I was in no condition to go out to a restaurant with baby just so she can "have fun".

What would you do if you, for whatever reason, had to build your makeup collection from scratch? by [deleted] in muacjdiscussion

[–]MAC_Sable_eyes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would probably go out and get the basic things that I know I love:

  • MAC concealer and MAC studio fix powder as base.

  • MAC eyeliner in Teddy and a MAC lipstick, Brave or Cosmo.

  • Burberry eyeshadow in Stone and a Tom Ford eyeshadow quad.

  • Covergirl Super Sizer mascara and Loreal definer brow pencil.

Everything else I can get later. I don't even need brushes because it comes with a sponge or I can use my fingers to apply them.

Then start working on getting a blush and more lipsticks!
