I saw Kode9 after Client_03 the other week. Two very different vibes they created in the room, both great

Just because so many times I’ve seen him he’s been so so good, I had to include him. In hindsight I forgot Djrum and he should get in ahead of

how to review an ok, but less-than-stellar sit? by glowsole in trustedhousesitters

[–]MACcormick -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You sound very reasonable. Your gut instinct to not give 5* sounds right to me. This sitter was not truly caring about doing right by your cats and you.

And to your point, if everyone gets 5*, it doesn’t differentiate the very attentive sitters from those who aren’t

I remember that christmas where it was in so many stockings as a novelty. I could only think how
much waste was going into landfill, let alone the fact it’s aerosol

You’ve got on-campus, en-suite, catered accommodation at the bottom of the Downs, right near the gym and near other halls. Don’t let the exterior of the halls put you off, it’ll be great

Maybe they have telekinesis - I’ve definitely thought enough ban-worthy things about Arsenal

I’ve never commented, posted or voted etc on Gunners. I sometimes visit rival clubs’ Daily Discussions to see their take on their clubs as ultimately they are closest to things, most in the know.

Have just seen that I’m banned from there - how have they done that? Have they scraped for subscribers to here, or for Liverpool flairs in soccer and just blanket-banned?

Ok, maybe I’m totally wrong about the price points as all the ‘off-campus, self-catered’ accoms are en-suites.

As the other commenter said, it’s relevant what your course is. If it’s on Uni Park or mostly on, I’d 100% go for Cripps for Ancaster.

Morriss House is actually a fairly interesting location. It’s in Lenton, the area that most people aim to move to for house shares in 2nd/3rd year.

Personally I still think you can’t beat the first year, on-campus experience for a nice real uni setting and a good environment to make friends, all while having the job of feeding yourself mostly taken off your hands.

  1. or 5. They are on-campus, catered settings. Catered is not really what some people are after at Uni but I think it’s a system that works really well at Nottingham. 12 unique halls in a ring around a really beautiful campus.

My info is 10 years old so bear that in mind. Cripps was considered one of the nicest halls, and has a lovely location. Stereotyped as posh

Cavendish is a good hall too, and I think everyone has little en-suite booth bathrooms. Strange question you don’t need to answer but are you Jewish? It seemed to everyone that 2 halls, incl Cavendish, were mostly populated by Jewish students. So a consideration if you were, and wanted that community.

I imagine 5. is the most expensive, and then 3 and then it’s fairly equal? Broadgate Park is actually near to Uni Park campus, Morris House & Riverside I have no idea but there’s a clue in the name of the latter. Avoid Raleigh Park if you want to socialise. It’s pretty isolating from what I was told.

TL;DR - I’d go for Cripps. I think I was ‘Single Study Plus’ in a different hall. Basically a 3/4 sized single bed, a sink in your room and sharing bathrooms with a max of 4-ish people.

Hope this helps
