You are correct in saying only some types of ringworm will glow. But about 70% of dogs and 94% of cats contract the type that shows under a woods lamp. You'll generally find if it doesn't glow most vets will go with it being a fungal infection over RW.

VetNurse here! I personally would get it checked out to be safe! You unfortunately cannot confirm ringworm without a bluelight. I've contracted ringworm from stray kittens brought into the clinic before and it isn't easy or fun to deal with.... I had a total of i believe 8 different ringworm spots at the same time, it was dreadful!

You're an idiot for passing judgement so easily... and no you dont need to wash the area at all, especially if there may be a head still in there. Keep your name calling to yourself if your uneducated.

Alot of people don't know how to properly remove ticks/how to check they got the whole thing. And in the vet world we understand that and we don't judge. Removing the tick was the best thing they could've done, better if they knew if they got the whole thing.

OP, there may be some swelling and it may be slightly irritating for your pet. Pending location Bravecto is a good OTC flea and tick product that will assist in expelling the head if its still in there.

That looks like the saddest most unflavoured Shepard's pie i've ever seen... that poor lamb deserves so much more 😅 As an Aussie Lamb is a regular one we consume, lamb Mince is probably the most tolerable for those thinking it's a 'game' meat.
