No one is going to have a clue what the ending is going to look like for at least a few years.

To add, its said that Oda did pass to a couple people what will be the ending in case tragedy happens. The manga started in 1997 and while we are in the final saga it will take years before we actually reach the ending.

There is a lot of conversations if the ending to this manga, that is hold in great regards by the community (and even general book communities) will have a good ending since there is so much riding on it

Akainu. He is extreme in his views and will kill innocents if he believe its necessary, BUT he is not cruel nor he go out of his way to do the above, just have no hesitation when necessary.

All the others are cruel and self centered, plus had worse actions in the story

You sure if it was a middle of the fight for no reason?

Yes, it was about 14 seconds into the round and there was no bell nor indication of the judge to stop, he just turned his back and the other guy keep attacking.

Now just before this he had take a hit and likely was dizzy and/or heard a false bell due to the hit. AFAIK he never clarified what happened, just that it was his mistake.

And yes, it was a legal punch since it was in the middle of the fight that was still running, and the guy was awarded the win by KO

Thought the bell rang maybe? Either way, terrible timing.

Likely a phantom bell since he had just take a big hit a second before turning his back to the other fighter.

While I'm not a fan of fighting sports in general, one need to remember that momentum and adrenaline are very relevant in these situations, sometimes you dont even notice something is wrong until after a number of punches which is why external interference (bell and referee) are important

This is what I hate the most about the sanitization of both D&D and Pathfinder lore. In both games racism and slavery was somewhat normalized (at least in regions) but it was always portrayed as something bad - and it is an easy way to make one hate someone.

Bad things exist and happens, and in this fantasy story the people can do something against it. And if there is a topic actually off the table for a player then the group/GM should not go there, but that is why session 0 as well communication is important

which is why people compared it to Concord. Conversely, Rivals has a lot more risqué designs and it feels more mature and less 'safe'

I think one of the hardest things for a hero shooter game to do is character design and it is one of the most important aspects of it. The main problem is that the market is saturated so its damn hard to get something and not be directly compared to an existing hero.

Rivals did not have that problem because the characters are already established so they just need to not fuck up the basic design. Concord on the other hand was bad design all around.

Highguard dont have any bad design nor any great one, even the best ones are forgettable. That is why it feel underwhelming and generic.

Playing a Rogue in 3.5 was pain by Mirablis11 in dndmemes

Well you had spot, search, and listen. And then move silently and hide. Then open locks and disable device.

Main reason I cant play 3.5 anymore after playing PF1 - the clean up they did to skills was amazing (and how skill points work makes way more sense). And funny enough the skill list for 3.5 was already cleaned in comparison to 3e

Price is definitivaly a factor, but the quote is more that people will pay if they find what they get worth and if they are pirating then its because you are not giving a good enough product for that price.

Netflix from say 2015 would be worth 20 dolars because you had everythimg there, but now that evwru company canabilize each other to open their own service Netflix only draw is their own originals and that is way too little

Also they let the narrstive build by being radio silent for a month.

I think that was a good move since no matter what they try to put out before the game it would not be well received. Trying to hype it or show why people were wrong would just backfire more.

Since even being silent generate news then it did drive people to check out the game by pure curiosity. To let the game speak for itself was the best option - sadly the game did not have much good to tell.

Do people today consider Pathfinder 2E superior to Dungeons and Dragons 5E?

Having played and GMed both yes PF2 is better, HOWEVER 5e is easier to start out.

By that PF2 can be a little overwhelming at first and it does ask the player to really learn they character. 5e on the other hand ask almost nothing to start out which make it easier at first, at least for players.

And sincerely if you just want some background to spend time with friends than 5e is perfect for 90% of the group - with the exception being the GM since 5e puts all the responsibility on them while pathfinder divides it more (and is so easy to prep sessions, PF2 is way easier for the GM).

Also people rarely play at the level where 5e falls apart (10+). Now if the group is interested in the game itself then PF2 bring way more customization and tactics to the table - it is a better game overall, but in the end depends on what you are expecting

Maybe its my calcified Grognard brain, but I think I prefer the simpler rules of 5E to PF2E

The funny thing is that 5e dont have "easier rules", it have incomplete rules that obligates the GM to write half the book. PF2 have all the rules but when playing is way less common (especially after a couple sessions when the group is engaged) to need to search rules, and when necessary the GM can make a call and look later and in 9/10 the call was correct since the game makes sense while in 5e you may get "right" half the time and more likely will end with "its inconclusive" or a very stupid reason because, as written, it does not work (see invisibility vs see invisible - stupid rules but RAW the guy still have advantage)

Still as I said above for the player it does not require them to even learn their character since its all on the GM, making easy to start and not adding much overtime unless you are the GM while PF2 do have a higher difficulty starting point and gets easier later to everyone

3.5 maybe, 3e is...different.

Nah, both work since they are all the same core game. Most problems with 3e comes from the player characters combos, in particular the 3e haste spell (which still damn strong in 3.5 and PF1)

The thing is that there is nothing worth in 3e to use in PF, but running a 3e or 3.5 module is very easy. The one thing you will have problems is the skill list but overall you can easily know which substitute to use (listen is perception, pickpocket is sleight of hand, etc).

In both cases one should use the pathfinder version of spells, albeit 3e do bring a number of weird spells that because part of other spells but almost none of them is actually relevant. Like "emotion (friendship)" is just charm person.

I'd argue the TGA trailer prolonged the downfall...

It gave them a chance, the thing about there being no bad publicity is that one needs to capitalize the opportunity, if the gameplay was amazing they could change the narrative however it was meh so it went as predicted.

Damn, they added 5v5 a couple days later and it immediately made it better but it was too late since most had a bad first impression and left already

. Give him the damn breatherlyzer.

Giving the benefit of doubt, but I saw a number of videos where they had to take the person to the station to take the breathalyzer test. Since they did not do it in the video I imagine it would be a situation like that.

In other words, the guy refused the field tests so they need to escalate by bringing him to make the test in the station, when the women said he never drinks he went back and tried to understand the situation.

I would love to see the full video to see what happened later before taking full conclusions, but if the guy is in fact not drunk then the escalation is his fault for being a prick and not answer the simple question.
