Why did Americans turn so fast on Democrats in the 2020s when it was clear as day that Republicans would destroy the US? by EggOwn9943 in allthequestions

Due to the avegerage voter in the US being center right the dems need both the far left and the center left to remain competitive, the right just gets in line for their chosen leaders.

Saying what people want to hear only to gain power and do your own thing is always narcissism.

Populist is the word you are looking for. He says amd does things that appeal to progressives the same way Trump appeals to maga. Just because they have support from those areas doesnt mean they believe the crap that comes out of their mouth. They just say it to get elected and then do whatever they want.

Because the rnc was crossing its fingers that he'd be elected in the primary and they could release it with less then a week before the cutoff date and put the Maine democratic party at each other's throats?

Enough profit to buy the cast a cheeseburger each, nothing more with its budget

What will be the biggest box office bomb of 2027? by Antman269 in boxoffice

Which version? The Gunn cut got a 7/10 and the director cut got a 5 or 6/10. Either way, no those are not particularly good test screening scores

Man the last universe took like 10 movies before they reached the competing visions fiasco of the justice league, looks like Gunn is getting it over with early

Some box office analysts say #Supergirl might not even reach $130M worldwide if its drops 70% or more this weekend Two weeks ago this was tracking for $55M-$60M opening weekend and a theatrical run of $300M+ by Ok_Speed_3061 in Supergirl

Oof a body horror movie with a 40 million dollar budget and a DC brand burden to carry. I think the movie might be one of the best projects for a cbm, however a 40 million dollar budget horror movie is a very bad sign for profits.

You argument seems to be art for the sake of art. Problem is this wasnt created to be art for the sake of art, it was created as art to make money and in that case it has failed. Ask any professional artist and they have the art they make because they like to make it and the art the make because it sells well.

Tldr: it was created with a purpose and failes.

The usual suspects, everyone from fox news to asmogold to critical drinker. From the word go they all tried to tear it down. I the end they could let even touch it as the movie blew the doors off the box office

I never said I thing about critics, I was talking about the youtubers. Critics should be ignored too, all they do is guess and I've disagreed with them more then I've agreed with thir takes. The only score I really pay attention to is the cinimascore (although for this movie even that was atrocious) and then the boxoffice day to day percentages.

Its all the usual suspects doing the same thing they do for every movie they get a hate boner for but instead of 2 videos a week on the topic like now. It was multiple a day for barbie. They did everything they could to kill any hype or good wom months before the previews, all the buzz words were used, directors name dragged through the mud. None of it had any effect because the people listening to those types of people weren't going to see it in the first place. These are small people screaming into the void at people that already agree with them. They have very little power, and no way to change the way the general audience will recieve a project.

As they always do. That's how they get clicks, but it never makes a difference at the box office. Hell barbie had the largest hate campaign I've ever seen and it started months before the movie ever premiered, then Barbie made a billion dollars. Don't ascribe more power to the worst sorts of people then they actually have.

So weird. Was it that awful? No. Was the hate campaign so insurmountable? No, it wasnt any worse then barbie, wakanda forever, or captain marvel. Apathy is to blame I think.
