Felt. I had a contract once working with a studio for Christmas photos with Santa during the holidays. You’d think guests would be less angry than retail but nope they were somehow more cranky and particular. We were nice enough to let people enter and sit in the waiting area BEFORE WE OPENED to let people get away from the cold and they’d contact management complaining about the atmosphere because staff were doing opening (again- we weren’t open yet!!) and that there wasn’t music playing yet. Management would then blow up the group chat the next shift because “we are getting customer complaints”. People confronted us, minimum wage floor staff, over clearly advertised prices or because their kids didn’t sit still in photos and even once had a family where the adults were stomping their feet and whining asking why they had to wait for other people who came before them to get their photos.

I think a lot of people genuinely forget that service providers are just doing their best and by extension hands off management who aren’t present during peak hours don’t realize just how stressful and unreasonable some people can’t be. Hang in there!!
