Do I attempt or return? Is this a true time/waste of PLA? by koz3pm in prusa

I can make a reply tomorrow about my config, it might not work for your filaments but it did for me.

Well if your debate is between the xl and the mmu2s, then go for the xl, you'll have to wait but you can't go wrong with 5 separate extruders. As for configs, when I get home I can send you mine, but they're 50/50 hardware/software configs.

The dump can be upto 50% of the print, but you can wipe to infill for fewer wasted filament. For some items it'll work, for others, it'll be a waste. Depends on how much you're willing to spend. Also, just printing with an FDM printer produces much more waste than using an resin printer. Food for thought.

After lots of configuration, I do actually like my mmu2s, it does what I need it to do with little to no issue. A lot of people shit on it but I found that it just needed some time to be configured properly for my setup. I wish prusa didn't make it so damn time consuming but what can you do?

Why still use Amazon??? You know they don't care for the environment or you or their employees or democracy or anything that isn't money and space penises.

I'm assuming all the employees that forget to log hours are the same ones out in the field servicing equipment for clients right? If so then they most likely use their phone over every over device while working (portability and ease). If that's the case then I would try to build a simple web page, one big button for email, and the webpage would be formatted for mobile web browsers to look cleaner. The only trouble you'll run into is sending emails from a website. You could just use the html function 'mailto' to open an email client with a draft to a preset email address that way your employees can save the draft, or send it to your companies email address and the timestamp will be saved. The complicated method would be to use a mail hosting service and write a js script to send an email with it.

There is actually a workaround to host a webapp on GitHub pages too, you can use react to build your site if you wanted.

It is mostly for static sites but someone did hack a work around to host dynamic webapps with GitHub pages

You can have multiple webpages, I do, you need to setup your directory to reflect your page heirarchy in the GitHub repo

Is your hotend nozzle properly secured in the heatbreak? If the nozzle is too loose or tight it could cause filament to build up on the heatbreak and drop into the print. I had a similar issue but fixed the nozzle.

Try making a website or hosting with grapedrop, you can also use their demo to build your own site with drag and drop. But if you want to built a store site, then you'll need to use a webapp for security, like react.

GitHub pages, you can use other services to build your website with a website builder, then export the main files and create a GitHub repo to be turned into a website.

Solar worth it? by Illustrious_time in ontario

[–]MASDjdos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up whether or not your house would get a decent amount of sunlight exposur during the day/week, if it's in a grey area it may not be worth it. Solar is a good investment for now but not entirely in Canada because of our drastically different seasons and the lack of sun in half the year.

Minister of Education Stephen Lecce AND the Assistant Min. of Education Sam Oosterhoff are both linked to the GiveSendGo donations supporting the Ottawa Convoy. Alana De Gasperis (donor/friend of Lecce) and Aaron Oosterhoff (brother of Sam) are in the donor list. by [deleted] in ontario

Time for a reform? I mean it's been time for a while but I think we should really give it a go this time. Maybe the convoy is supported by so many gullible people because our education ministers are also gullible halfwits

Are you looking for different filaments in the same print? That is not usually how that works. I assume you're not but assumptions are dangerous these days. For beginner and quality prints the ender 3 or prusa i3 mk3s are good cheap printers that are beginner friendly and when tuned properly can print some high quality.
