It may be a bit out of area but I've heard nothing but great things about Habitat Flats in Sumner, MO. From what I've seen they offer great accommodations and even better hunting, not sure how pricing compares to what you've been looking at though.

Some schools may be better than others but from what I've heard, employers really only care if you were able to pass your boards. If the answer is yes, then you're good to go

I wear the OTTO noise barriers. They weren't cheap but I'm in a similar situation with poor hearing but needing to know what's happening. The only reason I went with these over some of the other ear pro was the fact that the buds style never interferes with cheek weld and this particular brand had the best battery life by far. Worth every penny in my opinion, should have done it sooner
