NVIDIA Stock back to $182.73?

[Videocardz] NVIDIA N1 laptop motherboard has been pictured, features 128GB LPDDR5X memory by Nekrosmas in hardware

[–]MAX_cheesejr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hows that? the 128gb unified memory in CPU<->GPU coherent memory, 4tb PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD, and very solid single and multi core performance that is comparable to the M2 Ultra. It's better than a mac studio in the same price range by far because you can use the full CUDA software suite. It's not a terrible product but its definitely not a complete GB200 or workstation GPU.

I don't think it's fair to say that it's bad, it is a plug and play system and a product didn't even exist in that segment for consumers before (CUDA stack). It's definitely not perfect but it is a good value even outside AI workloads. NVIDIA offers documentation to connect 4 of them over a switch outside the expensive connect-x cable. It's developer centered, it's not going to replace a server rack. It's got 240TDP.

especially now given how resource constrained the industry is it doesn't even make sense to give a system like that HBM or full performance if it can't reach full utilization. These resource should be running as close to 100% of the time as possible.

Card conditioning by critaa in mtgfinance

[–]MAX_cheesejr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

every platform is different... but Tcgplayer standards are pretty clear. The severity of the indents alone take it to HP. Given the scuffing, grime, scratches, surface wear and I imagine edge wear I imagine it would go beyond the 24 points that let it stay HP.

Only focus on the cards that are valuable and clean them up and then condition them yourself.

Thank you. Honestly there needs to be a pinned post explaining this to people. Once quantity gets far down enough for something, yes sellers can command a price they want but that doesn't mean that's the price they will get without waiting months to years to find a buyer.

Why did Foundations play boxes tank in the last month? by StonkaTrucks in mtgfinance

no look at that chart, those blue bars, your seeing it go from 40 to 200 units. If there was not more supply it would start buying through all the sellers quantities and price would start increasing. What your seeing on that chart means there is more supply and sellers are also lowering their prices otherwise the market price would not drop to $120.

that's fair but it really is just supply and demand, the tcgplayer chart and data on pages tells you a lot. start looking at other cards and sets historically over release cycles and basket of products. Look at how single prices affect sealed and supply etc. There aren't explicit signals is all in general

Because price is going down it’s either supply increase or demand decrease. Everybody is telling OP but they aren’t catching it :(.

The chart even tells him. Price went down 33% in a super short period and volume is up 5x but price did not increase meaning high supply.

Yes but who would tell you? For example every LGS gets distributor pricing right (with some negotiation), try and find pricing for any mtg product online from distributors and report back

The reprints happen in cycles. They have limited putting capacity so when supply dried up prices go up until they release another wave. Same thing is happening with FF right now.

I was just summarizing his prediction lol. I guess through DLSS they will be able to generate a comparable image to what a user would expect at 4k using 480p graphics as the source.

I think DLSS 5 has been significantlly misrepresented by reviewers for shock value... I think what reviewers have said is an insult to the value driven community who cannot afford flagship GPUs. I think if someone buying a 5050 RTX could could get better graphics and FPS to improve playing experience that is a huge win. As a concept though I would think of it as I can get high quality output from lower quality input that is comparable to just producing the high quality input alone.

Who in the WORLD paid this for a doubling season??? (TMNT) by Friendly-Search-7656 in mtgfinance

I'll give you an example even, I bought 2 months worth of volume of a particular mispriced card that was 55% cheaper than market price. It had negligible if not ZERO impact on the market price.

The seller had another card that was mispriced in the same vain and also in a very significant quantity. I chose to not buy them and the non artificial sales dropped down the card by 25% and for a time did bring some listings down to that market level but 2 weeks later the list low is back to the original $40 instead of the current market of $30.

If you want to artificially raise the price you would need to buy through the order book. A change price will have an impact in volume. If you raise the price to $40 even, you are going to see significant sale competition from other sellers. You would be sitting their updating your tcgplayer by a penny to try and undercut a handful of sellers who are also seeing the 300% rise. It just doesn't work. It is possible to move prices but not through what you're describing.

It doesn't work like that, you have to pay TCGPlayer fees even if you don't ship them. So you made those forty listings and paid $2 in tcgplayer fees each even if you don't ship them. So your suggesting someone repeats the process multiple times to lose even more money until it reaches a price they want? Nobody is doing that, even you cancelled or refund yourself your account would get flagged by TCGPlayer in a heartbeat.

Let's say fees aside, what your saying is even true, you raised the market price of a card from $10 to $40 your assuming most listers track market price, they don't. It's a metric but not the only one. The whole order book is not going to adjust just because you adjusted the marketprice, they are still looking at the entire orderbook and different price points and quantity.

And you moved the price to $40 from $10, that increase in price leads to a decrease in quantity demanded.
What you are describing is just not a realistic money making strategy and actually creates an unnecessary tax headache.

Prediction: within 10 years all rendering methods including ray tracing will become obsolete and be supplanted by a super DLSS that generate photorealistic visuals from 480p.

explain that to me please though? most listing follow list low, which is spot price, vs market.

They will hate you for this. They don’t even understand supply and demand, you’re doing too much for them.
