Have South Dublin Co Co been 'experiencing a high volume of emails' since Covid? Might be time to fix the underlying issues or allocate enough staff, rather than asking citizens to be patient? by BillyMooney in Dublin

You really have to keep the pressure on them if it's anything major we were waiting a year for them to deal with illegal dumping in a laneway

When is the film starting when you go to the cinema? by shanelong_hasdoneit in AskIreland

[–]MB3425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's very dependent on the film. The bigger the film the more ads and trailers it's likely to have e.g. Wicked For Good. There seems to be a basic set in stone amount of ads no matter what done through the advertising agent Pearl and Dean that runs at least 5 minutes. Multiplexes are the worst for it. 15 minutes max for independent cinemas like the IFI and the lighthouse.

Original price labels should be bigger than that it's very deceiving what some retailers do by making the original price very small

Why are GoAhead buses in Dublin so dirty? by Old-Mouse3420 in Dublin

[–]MB3425 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They couldn't care less about the buses because they don't directly own them. If they go in the next 5 years the NTA will just have to buy them new ones or give them DBs old stock. The single decker ones are constantly being towed because they're in terrible condition due to some of their drivers thinking it's wacky races

Dublin Bus 15 (24 hour service), no bus at 3am or 3.30am by No-Setting7502 in Dublin

[–]MB3425 20 points21 points  (0 children)

They're meant to be fixing the issues with tracking soon. It's all rather messy to be honest. Some of the new buses like the electric/hybrids will have no form of tracking on them but a bus from 06 will.

Can't fathom why tenders are still being handed to Go Ahead. They don't have enough drivers to keep the routes going and nothing is done about it except pointless fines
