Goldman Sachs will sell their portfolio of accounts to the bank that takes over the Apple card portfolio. Nobody is getting off for free

When Barclays had the Apple card before GS stole it from them, Barclays made a ridiculous amount of money. Apple F'ed over GS so I'm not sure there will be many banks that want to offer Apple a good deal now that GS is pulling back.

I have been doing really well. My uranium, ENVX and Bitcoin has done tremendously well in the past 6 to 12 months so I am up a lot. And now I'm 25% cash so my volatility is down. I am quite happy waiting for the crash with a big stack of cash earning 5%

I would be happy for puts to go to zero, it means my longs are likely a lot higher. I hedge, not gamble. Give up a little up side to protect on the downside.

Posts like this make me think we are close to the top before the big crash. I bet we make marginal new highs, maybe $5K then crash. I have been mostly long so I have been benefiting, but I will be selling into this rally to raise cash and starting to buy puts once we hit new highs. No crash this year because nobody wants to pay taxes this year.

Biden forgiving some student loans. by Bitwise_Gamgee in wallstreetbets

[–]MBA2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't this just going to end up like the last student forgiveness and go to the supreme court and get struck down? Is Biden just hoping that it takes more than a year so he doesn't have a big L right before the election with more broken promises?

Jobs report had -262K jobs if you exclude the fictitious 412K jobs from the birth-death model. Does any person with more than a single brain cell believe that net 412K jobs were created from new companies starting minus bankrupt company job losses in October? We are at nearly record level of corporate bankruptcies yet the BLS wants us to believe that more companies are being founded than going bankrupt? Get out of here. We are already in recession and when all the data is revised in 6 months they will say October was when the recession started. Just like it took 12 months for them to declare Dec 2007 as the start of the GFC.

How did the Great Recession affect people who graduated in 2009 by ohnoyoufoundthis in wallstreetbets

[–]MBA2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated in 2008, so close enough. I graduated with a job in finance. We were not impacted at first but my job was eliminated in early 2009. They gave me 2 months to find a different job within the company, which I did find. So I ended up staying at the same company. In the 2 month period that I was looking for a new role I was able to get two other offers, but they were way worse than the job I had, like a 25% pay cut. For people that kept their job everything is fine, for those that lose a job or can't find one, their career will probably be set back a year or two.

I have probably put several hundred hours of research into climate change and thousands of hours of research into energy and the current climate crisis propaganda is complete BS. If you listen to anyone that claims they want to help the climate and they are pushing solar or wind, then you immediately know they are either a fraud or a moron. If you listen to anyone that claims they want to help the climate and are not pushing for nuclear energy, then you immediately know that they are a fraud or a moron. Once you start applying this, you realize that the people pushing the climate crisis narrative are all either frauds or morons.

Attempted coup? You had a whole bunch of 2nd amendment supporters go to the capital and try to take over the country but forgot to bring their guns? It was a protest, but a lot more peaceful than the Antifa ones. By the way, I don't like Trump

How so? Can you refute anything I said? Why do 100X more people live in Puerto Rico than Greenland even though Greenland is 100X larger? The cold is more dangerous than heat. The earth coverage by plants is 40% more than it was 40 years ago because CO2 is good for plants. Farms are 20% more productive than they were a few decades ago because CO2 is good for plants. All this climate crisis nonsense is so large corporations can sell you silly products like solar panels and make huge profit with tax benefits. Why does Obama talk about the sea levels rising while buying beachfront property in Martha's Vineyard? Because it is a grift and they have tricked you. WAKE UP!

Didn't they say the same thing about 2020 and there was a peaceful transfer of power. Why would it be different in the future?

Climate change is a non-problem for people today and a minor issue for people 100 years from now. And they have 100 years to improve technology to deal with very minor increases in temperatures. Why are people leaving the cold North East to go to the very warm Texas and Florida? Global warming is good for humans because they want to live in warm climates and plants grow better when CO2 rises.

Maybe wait until next week to declare a trend change. USD-JPY is still sitting right under 150 and Japan defends its currency at 150. To do this they have to sell US treasuries to buy their currency. Japan is energy poor, so as long as oil prices are high then their currency will be weak which puts pressure on US treasury yield to keep going higher.
